Can anyone help me with the battle with Ultima Weapon? I tried several times and he keeps killing my gf's and never lets me do anything.

ok, don't worry he's not hard, start off by using meltdown ( a must) now he's defenses will go down, draw him Eden, now cast aura on squall, if you have someone with revive or recover use them, for this battle have one healer, one attack/healer ( when everynpy's got high hp, use gf or attack, use him to cast aura on squall) use squall's limitbreak everytime possible, if you use Selphie when she has low hp use her limit full-cure, he shoul go down at ease, be sure to have the lionheart, oh and also use cerebrus and cast haste, don't use on squall because squall's limits won't appear so soon

They most easy way to defeat him(after you draw Eden)is to use Selphies The End ;)

But The End is hard to get

Level up Selphie, if you want to follow what Halo said. Then after you've level Selphie up(Enough for The End magic to come out of the magic slot), go into fight with Ultima, have Selphie in critical status, then activate her Slot limit break, open the disc thingie while the game's running and with Selphie's slot on, then the game will hang, don't close it until you went through Selphie's slot and have found The End magic(You can still spin the slot while the game's hanging). After you've found The End magic, close the disc thingie, and the game should be mioving again, then activate The End limit break, and there you go! =)

If you want an easy fight, have Squall's str at 255, then use Aura on Squall and keep pressing the O button so you can activate Renzokuken faster. Then have Squall's ultimate weapon(Lionheart) then he should be able to use the Lionheart limit break, if not, pray(Because if Squall does Lionheart to Ultima Weapon, Ultima automatically loses). DON'T FORGET to draw Eden, first thing in the battle.

One of the several attempts at killing him, I did Renzokuken 2 times, then he kept doing Light Pillar. Phoenix Pinion even revived my characters a couple of times, but he kept doing Meteor and Quake which murdered me. I think I'm better off drawing Eden on disc 4, but I would much rather have her now so I can teach her abilities.

Do you have the ultimate weapon?, like i said have the Full Cure or Revive and Recover, use two healers both on haste, and only Squall atacks and....Use MELTDOWN otherwise it will be very hard

Yeah, that's correct. Riche, if you don't have the Lionheart weapon, then get it first. That weapon makes the battle easier.

I have Lionhart.

Then use it

Along with Squall with strength to 255. Cast Meltdown. Then Aura on Squall. Press O button, until you can activate Renzokuken then use the limit break. If Lionheart doesn't activate(The finishing blow) then just continue on doing this. If one of your characters are in critical, then heal them. Just like what Tidus 66 said, have one healer, Squall, and a supporting(Aura, Meltdown, or GF's for attacking) character.

If you care about such things, and you have the chance, don't forget to max out each characters' stock of Ultima that you can draw from him. Also, don't Mug him or lose the chance of him dropping 100 Ultima Stones. That's not a guaranteed drop, but it's an extremely high probability.

I used Aura and Heroes. (I got 100 aura stones and 100 heroes by changing some LV.10 cards if i remember right)
You need to use the aura before the heroes. And i didn't use meltdown however i still beat him fairly easily.

It's a shame eden levels up so slowly though.

hm i didnt use heroes mainly because i wanted to finish with all of the cards but i didnt have to much troble with him beat him first time with Squall,Quistis and Rinoa all had Ultimant weapons exept Quistis i found Omega harder of course and found that he was about the same as Ultimacia more or less thats why i found it hard to believe some people couldnt beat him

Um..... to be honest with you i found ultima weapon really really really easy with punishment(squall) eirgiez(zell) and cardinal(rinoa) i also didnt have anyone lvl 100 or used aura or meltdown.

Like i sayd beafore:use Selphie when she's near death and use the Aura(that will increase the chance about The End)

According to some guide (PSM magazine issue 1 i think) Ultima weapon is by far the hardest boss in the game,
However ive never beated the final boss but ive beaten him everytime ive played through FF8 (which is about 5 times i think)

The psm issue you talk about doesn't seem to cover every part of the game, anyways in the game in ultimecia's castle is where the strongest monster lies. It's when you pull the string and some huge strong monster pop-up, but to get him out. You must do certain things, also he can kill you with two attacks if you're not ready.

Ultimate Weapon is very easy I beat him by just casting meltdown at him, and draw eden, then cast aura at squall, after that let squall use renzokuzen at the ultimate weapon, but I need to increase squall luck to get lion heart attack before fight the ultimate weapon,........and the other two party, I use Zell and Rinoa, Zell would just use booya, and march kick, (I don't waste time using other one cause booya and march kick is easy to select, and you can do it many times.) and Rinoa would be the one who would do those healing, aura, and other stuff, not black magic, but white magic.

For the Omega weapon, it was Very hard at first, but the second time I beat him is Very easy, I use triple at rinoa ( or who ever have aura), and to waste omega time, is just to let squall attack them, and let zell use meltdown at the weapon, after that I let rinoa use aura to every one, and let zell use holy war next, then just let them use there limit break, if the aura is off while we invisible, I just let them summon eden, and the person who doesn't have eden would be using some other GF, or normal attack, after the invisible is gone, I repeat what I've done at first, but if your bad luck, the omega weapon might use medigo flame or some other strong power at you, in that case I need to use MegaElixer, (do not use any elemental magic or GF at him, every element magic would cure the weapon, use non elemental magic or GF)

Ah right, i never did do all the Bosses in the castle. Thats probably part of my problem...

Omega Weapon:have Rinoa(100%) Squall and Selphie(The End).First make Meltdown,next use Cerberus for triple casts.After that use 3 auras on evryone.Next when he uses Medido Flame you must do the Rinoas Limited Moon.Now you will be invisible and with avra with 1 hp.Use many times that trick or just w8 for Selphies The End.

The weapons are in FF8 as well?? I thought they where only in 7

you cant have level 100 top is 99

You must be thinking of most other FFs. FFVIII is an exception, 100 is the max in FFVIII, not 99.
