Who Do You Prefer? I think the Killers are over-rated but are still a good band. I Think the Bravery have an very good debut album with three excellent songs, An Honest Mistake, Swollen Summer and Unconditional. So I prefer the Bravery.

i really like the killers, but i just recently got into that style of music. i like how it sounds all dreamy and stuff, like a trashy indie commercial sound.

i cant really compare them with the bravery since im guessing they havent broken here in america. got any links to any of their songs?

Just curious!

Both of them are awful, both musically and lyrically. Watching The Killers on Live 8 was appalling. They were just shit.

haha yes, the killers lyrics don't mean anything, though I will admit I like them slightly better than the bravery, who are ... worse.

Breaking my back just to know your name
Seventeen tracks and I've had it with this game
I'm breaking my back just to know your name
But heaven ain't close in a place like this
Anything goes but don't blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain't close in a place like this
I said heaven ain't close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I'd let a rumor ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It's not confidential
I've got potential

Ready? Let's roll onto something new
Taking its toll and I'm leaving without you

Ready? Let's roll onto something new
Taking its toll and I'm leaving without you
Ready? Let's roll onto something new
But heaven ain't close in a place like this
Anything goes but don't blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain't close in a place like this
I said heaven ain't close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I'd let a rumor ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It's not confidential
I've got potential
A rushin', a rushin' around

Pace yourself for me
I said maybe baby please
But I just don't know now
When all I wanna do is try

The Killers have 'Jenny Was a Friend of Mine', 'Believe Me Natalie' and 'Glamorous Indie Rock n' Roll', which are great.

well i went to the bravery's site and listened to some of their stuff. to me they're ok, better than the killers. except the keyboards/ vocal stuff annoys me. i don't really like keyboards in my music. and the vocals sound... i don't know how to say it, messed up? i would say that an honest mistake is their best song... from their site.

one of the songs on the killers next album is going to be called uncle johnny did cocaine. Purley because of that, i prefer the killers. That guy from the bravery annoys me for some reason. I think it may be the hair.

The Darkness aren't the same kind of band though. Anyway, I've never liked the Darkness, Justin Hawkin's voice is extremely annoying and high pitched, I don't think much of their guitarwork and their drums, not especially memorable.

I haven't heard anything from "The Barvery" just yet, but one of my fave songs by "The Killers" is "Smile Like You Mean It".
The lyrics and melody together make for a song I haven't yet gotten tired of, and one that I sing along with, on the drive to or from work.
At times, I may feel like listening to other songs on any portable device I have on me, but I gotta give the song another listen, every now and then.
-And I've had it in my collection ever since it came out. lol
I know - I'm just wierd like that. XD

I quite liked the Killer's second album and i like how they make an effort with dressig up a bit, there are far too many bands who just like to slouch about in un-ironed clobber and it's very dull, and i can listen to the bravery in small doses (and again nice that they make an effort) but I prefer to listen to older stuff really but you can hear the influences coming through i suppose which is nice. i odn't think i'm making much sence, i suppose i prefer the killers really though, can't say it's something i think a great deal about to be honest.

I absolutely dislike The Killers way too much to not easily vote for The Bravery. Really, it's like I'm hearing the Killers in a total different way or something, there's really nothing in their songs that I like. ._. The Bravery aren't bad, though.

Brandon Flowers is a delight beyond measure. D&A is kind half and half. I Can't Stay and Spaceman are among the best they've done so far.

I thoroughly liked the Bravery's 1st album... but seems like their original sound last lost momentum in the latest release....

I can dig both bands, Killer's Joy Division cover of Shadow Play is not bad..

I say Bravery
