Hey I was wondering if the Gelnika is part of the main story, or is just like a sidequest. I'm continuing a game from 2 years ago, so I don't really remember much, and I found it, but I'm not sure if I should wait to do everything in there, or just do it, and continue on with the story.

Its optional but I'd strongly recommend you clean it out.2X-Cut,Hades(a summon),Highwind(Cid's Lvl 4 Limit break),Heavens Cloud(a sword for cloud) and Conformer(Yuffie's ultimate weapon)are to be found.

i agree...problem though you have to keep giving them elixers but they are worth it

Yeah u get to fight a few turks if u go there when they say u should find an underwater key or something.

Your able to figet Reno and Rude in the sunken plane any time before the attack on Midgar, you no, with the mako cannon and stuff.

You find heavens cloud on geas mountain!! =-O

its a good place to train if you are low leveled but if you are trying to get passed level 80 go to Noth Cave with the Magic Pots

Some of the enemies in the ship are really strong but if you keep levelling up on them they eventually become weak

Actually, I find that training in the woods of Mideel is a better way to level up. Even though you get less exp. per battle, you can get through them in about 5 seconds apiece if you equip Cloud with sprint shoes (so he acts first every battle) and slash-all or Flash, so his first action kills everything on the field. With Encounter up you can pull in exp and AP much more quickly than in the North Cave since the battles are much simpler and faster, and there's no chance that you're ever going to fight even a semi-difficult enemy like in the Cave.

By the way, do you listen to the band Coheed and Cambria by any chance? I noticed that your location is backend of nowhere, and that would be a freaky coincidence considering that's the name of one of their songs....

I got Cloud up to level 99(or what ever the highest is) and Vincent and Barret to 90 in that place.

If you had the patience and will power you could get anyone up to level 99 anywhere in the game.

W Item Materia makes giving elixers to the Pot not a factor at all. I mean I made 3 Mastered Kngihts of the Round in 7 hours with those pots.

you know if you use morph on the monsters in the sunken plane you get one of each source. you can still power up even when you get to level 99!! it works best if you use yuffie cuz she dose 9999 damage with morph.

ya, and the monsters there give unreal AP, which is great when u got Apocolypse

and a bunch of rune armlets and like the drill arm and all the double weapons
(since cloud is the only one with triple)
i have all my lvl 3s and im at the beggining of disc 2, because ive been using the Rune Blade since i got it and the Force Stealer since i got it, which i used up until i got the Rune. Double counts, and i want to get triple!
