I started a new game at around lunch time today, and I played for 8 hours and got to the Gold Saucer, This normal speed, Slow, Fast? Been like 2 years since I played from the begging

It's pretty slow. I reached the Gold Saucer in less than an hour and I've heard of guys that did it in 30 minutes. Maybe you just suck at FFVII.
