Hello everybody. I've been playing FF7 for a few years now, and i've beaten it about four times. Today i was browsing a few FF7 websites for rumors and I stumbled upon this (http://www.angelfire.com/games/TheEquinox/) . Now, i know this is 99.9% fake, but I am a sucker for these types of things - even though i think they are false, in the back of my mind, i wonder if they are true. So, i'm just wondering what you guys know about this rumor.

There are many other rumors i've stumbled upon, some are utterly rediculous, but another one that caught my eye was the rumor of the playable character 'boxer'. I read this on FF7Citadel:

Boxer is supposedly a goblin who'll join your party after fighting him on Goblin Island. This is pretty interesting as Boxer's face actually appears on a game save icon in the Japanese version of Final Fantasy VII. No exact method is actually known on obtaining Boxer, other than he resides on Goblin Island and needs to be fought.

Also, i would like to know where I can download one of these programs that allows me to view all of the text and backgrouds of Final Fantasy 7. I'd also like to know if these programs allow me to enter the debug room, since i've never owned a gameshark and the idea of the debug room has always poked my interest.

thanks for the help in advance, and i apologize if i am wasting your time.

There is no possible way to resurrect Aeris without manipulating/hacking the game somehow.

There's always going to be rumours flying about most of which make no sense at all, especially the one that had me believing you could get a white chocobo on FF7........that one annoyed me for a while..

According to this rumor, ultra-bad guy Sephiroth can join your party (can't imagine why, though). There are a number of alleged methods of obtaining good 'ol Sephy.

A. You must find twelve 1/35 soldiers scattered around Junon. Once finding these, Sephy will pop up impressed by your skills, and will offer to join your party.

B. You must find the Eight Statues of Sephiroth, carefully hidden throughout the FF7 world. Finding these is supposedly extremely hard. You can obtain a statue by playing Aeris' tune on the broken piano inside the Shinra Mansion, Nibelheim.

C. According to this rumor, there are actually TWO versions of Sephiroth - one that was 'killed' by Cloud five years ago, and the recent Sephiroth that summoned Meteor. The former Sephiroth (whom we shall call Sephy 1) will offer to temporally join your party to dispose of the latter Sephiroth (whom we shall call Sephy 2).

This is achieved by having Cloud and Tifa in your party and visiting Nibelheim. There's a 1 in 50 chance an ex-Shinra employee will be in the town. Speak to him, and he will sell a key to Jenova's room in the Nibelheim reactor. Buy the key, enter the Nibelheim reactor and open the door to Jenova's room. Once inside, explore for half a minute and Cloud will experience a fit. In steps Sephy 1, who will explain his story and then join your side as a playable character. He will leave your party once Cloud reaches Level 99.

D. Another method has been forwarded by [email protected]. He suggests confronting the Midgar Zolom while your characters are under level 15. Defeat the monster while sustaining no wounds and proceed to the cave to kill an additional fifty monsters without gaining a scratch. Travel towards the left path and engage the Turks, and defeat them. Sephiroth will then appear, impressed by your skills, and will join you. Apparently [email protected] believes Sephiroth will then disclose some close-guarded secrets about Cloud and himself. Whether this is actually possible remains to be seen.

E. A Sephiroth clone is available in the Japanese version of FFVII, according to [email protected] (he also reckons Aeris is available). Collect 1/45 soldiers and the replica of Sephiroth's sword from the Gold Saucer, and they should combine into a Seph clone. He begins at level 50, but stays there permanently.

This is just hilarious

Oh yes it is... and this one is also funny

Contributor Luminous believes Turk member Reno is available for your party. Defeat him in his first and second encounter, and Reno will tire of fighting you. He will offer conciliation and join you. Beware however, if you injure Reno greatly during the confrontations, he will retreat.

"4. Flying Buffalo
This one is intresting... I overheard my brothers friend saying that just befor you go to fight Sephiroth if you leave north cave and go to cosmo canyon you talk to what looks like a 'cowboy' and he says he will trade a highwind for a flying buffalo. "

This is my favorite (hee hee Flying Buffalo)

12. Hentai Ending
Even though a hentai ending sounds far-fetched, [email protected] believes it is possible. Beat Sephiroth fifteen times in different files, and you can watch a hentai sequence between Cloud and Tifa after the credits. Considering the damage Squaresoft will receive over such an ending, I must seriously doubt this rumor.

T. Newman professes Tomb Raider starlet Lara Croft is obtainable in Final Fantasy VII. He believes in breeding two gold chocobos and improving them to S Class. Once doing so, beat Joe twelve times and he will be replaced by a new rider. Beat the rider three times, and you will receive the item with no name. With Tifa in your party, leave the Gold Saucer and Tifa will talk about the mysterious item. Show her the item, and the screen will go blank. When vision returns, Tifa will transform into Lara Croft. Mr. Newman reckons her gun can kill any monster first shot. Heh, somehow I don't think so...

Win over 10,000 points at the roller coaster ride in the Gold Saucer and instead of just winning a replica, you'll win the proper Masamune Blade - Sephiroth's weapon.

There's supposedly another way, by [email protected]. Get 5 pieces of Mythril from the sleeping man in the cave, give it to the weapon seller, and he will give you a secret weapon for Cloud, the Masamune.

1. Vincent's Ghost
This monster supposedly resides in the basement of the Shinra Mansion, Nibelheim. Have Vincent in your party, revisit the basement and there will be a small chance you will fight Vincent's Ghost

A nice rumor, this one. If you manage to resurrect Aeris, Jenova will send one last monster to destroy you - Jenova*REBIRTH. This is the hardest of the Jenova monsters. But only if you resurrect Aeris...

7. Alpha-Leviathan
This monster is supposedly a huge beast. Breed a silver chocobo, travel underwater to the crater, and inside you will fight Alpha-Leviathan. Defeat him, and you'll win the Super Nova materia.

9. Bugenhagen
Oh boy... what's next, fighting Aeris? :) Heh, anyway... [email protected] alleges Bugenhagen too can be fought. To confront Bugenhagen, go to Cosmo Canyon and visit the observatory. On your first visit in disk 1, touch the switch leading to the area holding the Huge Materia, and Bugenhagen will say 'Only I can use it'. Continue to use it, and after 20 minutes he will grow angry and fight you.

4. Weapon Summon materia
Latiz believes a Weapon Summon materia exists in the game. To get the Weapon Summon materia you need a mastered Morph materia and a Luck Plus materia. Fight any of the Weapons (excluding Diamond Weapon) using only Morph on them when they have less than half of their HP. Beat them with Morph and you should get an emerald gem, a ruby gem, or a zircon gem. These are key items for getting a Weapon Summon materia at Cosmo Canyon. This materia is capable of casting Weapon summons. Their damage is more than triple of Knights of the Round and give several effects to the enemies, but you'll also receive damage. You will need a Final Attack materia linked with Phoenix to survive the summon. You can also use them to add the effects of the spells to your weapons or armor. If the Turquoise and Onyx Weapon are avaliable in your game, you should be able to get a gem from them. The cheat only works with the huge materia at Cosmo Canyon.

These are some of my favourites specially the Lara Croft one xD

LOL yes these rumors are funny and when the game first came out i tried all of these i managed to get up to 14 of the 1/35 soldiers. Nothing happened. The one about getting sephiroths blade is true but there is one things wrong about it. it is just for show. You cannot equip it to cloud or anyone else. It just stays in your invitory and says sephiroths weapon. The one about Aeris reviving her with the Revive Materia is completely false. The only way to get Sephiroth or Aeris is by Gameshark and Gameshark only. Though i did play through the game with TWO Clouds and One Sephiroth it was really fun bc Sephiroth comes with all the equipment shown in the flashback and its the only way to get a usable masamune that you can equip to sephiroth. The bad thing about having sephiroth in your party is that everytime you see sephiroth, fight Jenova or fight Safer-Sephiroth during the ending battles he is unusable. But I had Two Clouds so it didnt matter to me. The sweet things to do is have Mimicx2 and Two Clouds in your Party And Have Level FOur limit break. Use omni-slash and with the other use mimic and he will use omni-slash and have the fist one use mimc to and he will repeat omni-slash. Repeat this and beat the Sephiroth in a couple of turns its freaking crazy. But note you can only do this with a Gameshark.
