The furthest I have got is level 86 or something but I just can't do it!
What are people's approaches to the via infinito. I used Cat nip, critical health on Yuna and Trigger happy but some fiend's health are actually exceeding the damage that can do! Its completely crazy.
For the bosses, I am just using that random reels with the three 7s (immediate death, ooh yeah)
I am trying to run away from the battle but the tonberries are really getting to me.
So, any advice?

um...be at level 99(with the lady luck dressphere, this should be easy), equip ribbons(if you have them) and just attack. instead of all 7's why don't you get congrats?(unless three 7's is congrats...i'm not sure if it is or not)you know..just buy the strategy guide and follow it.(i'm not entirely sure if it helps you on the via infinito though)by the way, the via infinto is not even really worth it. you don't need it to get 100%. and even if you reach the bottom(which i did), i doubt you will be able to beat the boss at the bottom(no spoilers).it is like, impossible to beat him. i only know one person who was able to beat him.

If you're at Cloister 86 and you're having a tough time moving on, I recommend running from all of the battles because they are pretty tough. You never have to fight a Tonberry King so solve the puzzles to avoid fighting it because it's pretty tough.

Once you reach cloister 100 (or infinity), you might want to head on over to the Farplane and level up to Lv.99 there and work on learning abilities from the dresspheres that matter (Dark Knight, Gunner, Mascot, Alchemist). We'll give you tips to beat Tream and Paragon when you get there, although the best strategy is use a Gunner w/Cat Nip, and the other two at Dark Knight or Mascot and have them use X-Potions on each other.

I suggest having tons of gil and the bribe ability. Even if you happen to get to Cloister 100 you must fight some dude named Pratagon I believe before you fight Trema. If you have alot of gil you will be able to bribe him and save your hp and everything for Trema. I highly reccomend the dark knigh ability darkness. Even though it takes hp away from you every time you use it. I used Alchemist as well so I could use Hero drinks on everyone. What you do is mix them. You can get them from your bribe from Protagon. This is the strategy I used. It took about 7 times to beat him but it does work. And MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON LEVEL 99 or you won't win....good luck.

What you need in this battle is skill... and luck, both for you and your characters.

vivi FF is right about the gunner with cat nip. to blitzking, you don't want they gunner with the cat nip to be healed, because then they won't do the special thing where if they are in critical, they do 9,999 with every hit. and when you combine this with level 3 trigger happy.....well, let's just say it's a lot of damage.(is i the cat nip accesory?i'm not sure)

i beat paragon easy, on like my first try. i can still beat him easily every time, although i must admit that there are times that before i even begin to atack, he does his little cheap-ass move that kills everyone in one hit.

it's trema that's a bitch....cheap bastard. i mean, every boss and enemy stops when you hit them, but not trema. he's a cheap little..~goes into a cursing rant for 2 minutes~......that keeps on coming at you even if you are hitting him. plus, he does like, 15,000 attack in one hit, so he kills you in one hit even if you have max hp. and if he gets your other two party members before the gunner, then you're screwed.

That's why you need The End garment grid. To have break HP and MP limit on your characters. That's mostly recommended. But getting The End garment grid takes a long time though. You need to oversoul every single monster in the game, in order to obtain the garment grid.

I know of that trick. I never used it and never will. To me that is like a cheap way of getting through the game unfairly. I personally think that the way I fought the battle was very wise and showed an awsome display of strategy. :smrt: "To each his own" though right?

oh yeah. wel, i didn't know how to get that GG until after i beat the game and i looked it up online.

it's not really cheating. and i didn't do that throughout te game, just on paragon and trema, cause they have insanely high hp, and it would be impsooible to beat them without it.

Or get the Higher Power GG. I forgot where you get it, but I know it's easier than getting The End. It has BHPL but not BMPL, but you really don't need BMPL because few dresspheres reach 999+ MP, even with MP Boosts.

You get the Higher Power GG by completing the hidden dungeon quest in the Calm Lands. It's found inside the chocobo ranch, I believe.

lol, sorry, it was a typo.

um, i have a question. if you get the break damage limit thing, and you use the trick with trigger happy and the cat nip(not sure if thats the right accesory), then will you still do 9,999 or will you do 99,999?

so what you guys are saying, is that in order to beat trema, you have to that "The End" gg and you get that by oversouling all of the monsters... i got to level 99... but the only problem is that i still cannot find 2 of the dress spheres, mascot and trainer. i dont have the book so i cant look it up, but do ya think someone could tell me where it is, cause i heard that the mascot was one of the best... oh and about the trema issue... i have 3 "Cat Nips" and 2 "Key to Success's" and i still cannot beat him. and i cannot find break damage limit for paine's special dress sphere and rikku's bhpl... can ya help me with those too?

thx guys

Trainer | CH3 | In CH2 visit Kimahri on Gagazet and talk to him
| twice. When questioned, PICK 2ND CHOICE. In CH3
| there will be a mission on Gagazet. Go there and
| speak with Kimahri - he will hand over this DSP.
| Your responses to other Ronsos DO NOT affect
| getting this DSP. Also any answer you give Kimahri
| in CH1 doesn't affect the outcome for getting
| trainer.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Mascot | CH5 | You must get EPISODE COMPLETE! in every single
| area of Spira in CH5. DO NOT LEAVE ZANARKAND
| HOTSPOT FOR LAST, clear it out first ASAP!
| Also, completing Via Infinito, finding Ruin
| Depths or Fiend Colony dungeon, as well as bridal
| mission ISN'T required to get this DSP.

is there a difference between episode complete and episode concluded?

Swedish Fish

It'll say episode complete. I've never seen anything that said episode concluded.

travisandrew20
06-19-2006, 07:44 PM
cause when i was playing it, sometimes it would say episode concluded instead of episode complete... wasnt sure if there was a difference tho. the only 2 missions i didnt finish was the via infinito and also the finding of the manuals for the machina in djose temple. it really confused me of the concluded vs. complete thing tho

Swedish Fish

I haven't the slightest why it would say that, but just continue through and you'll see soon enough if there is a signifigant difference.

I don't think trema is the hardest in the game...it's the big snail...he is impossible ;( he is SO imba...for that lvl...harder than trema is for lvl 99...pretty easy actually...thought about getting six of the things he drops...don't remember the name of it...do u? but anyways...with that and mascot it'd be VERY easy to beat the game...like 6 hours or something^^ if you skip the scenes

TeknoBlade

Trema's the hardest if you haven't got the equipment to properly deal with him.

Episode Concluded means you didn't do something correctly, so you won't get any percentage points from it. You won't get the Mascot Dressphere either. If you get an Episode Concluded, you'll have to play the game again on New Game + and get Episode Complete on all missions to get the perfect ending.

Agent0042

There is a huge difference between Episode Concluded and Episode Complete. If your airship status descriptor reads Episode Concluded for any section, it means that you failed to fulfill some requirement in that section that would give it Episode Complete and you haven't seen the "best ending" for that section, generally. Episode Complete and not Concluded is required in all locations in order to obtain Mascot dressphere.

P.S. --- Not technically true. It may be possible to not get Episode Complete for a section or two and still get the Perfect Ending if you pick up bonus percentage by giving the sphere to the other group. But you do still need Episode Complete on all sections within a single playthrough to get Mascot.

you know, to me, that damn snaill was easy in comparison to trema... kept killing people but all i had to do was use a mega phoenix and have the alchemist equiped on one person and have the key to success on that person too... but then agian i got 2 of those and 2 cat nips so the other 2 people were on gunner doing 9999 per hit with lvl 3 trigger happy... but i tried that on trema and he keeps killing me... my lvls are all at 99
