has anyone else noticed that theFinal Fantasy always depict the most important thing in the game. for example, FFX's logo had the sending on it. that's like the most important aspect of the game on it(in relation to the plot), FFIX was the crystal, and FFVIII was Squall and Rinoa(although i don't see the importance of that...unless it has to do with the ultimecia/rinoa theory)

ffviii had sqaull and rinoa as its logo because the main part in the story was the growing realtionship between them,

and dont forget ffvii's logo - the meteor ^_^

Not true! Final Fantasy VI has one of those Mech-bot things on it. Hardly the most important aspect of the game I'd say. I agree with you about the others though!

I vote that fantapants draw more awesome FF logos, like his FF13 one.

For every game. Showing the most important aspects - like the gay wrestlers from Final Fantasy VII, for instance.

Yeah, the logo normally depicts something that is related to the main plot of each FF game. In the mainstream FF games, these logos are always painted by master artist Yoshitaka Amano. From what I know and are aware of, these logos are mentioned below:

FFI: A generic warrior (presumably the same one seen in the FMV opening in the PSX version)
FFII: Emperor Paramekia
FFIII: No logo (yet)
FFIV: Kain
FFV: The Hiryu (Reina's Flying Dragon)
FFVI: Terra in Magitek Armour
FFVII: The Meteor
FFVIII: Squall and Rinoa embracing
FFIX: The Crystal of Life
FFX: Yuna performing a Sending
FFX-2 Paine, Yuna and Rikku
FFXI Online: A group of Adventurers on a battlefield
FFXII: A Judge (apparently)
FF Tactics: A group of soldiers on the battlefield, representing various FF Jobs.
FF Tactics Advance: A Judge
FF Crystal Chronicles: The Myrrh Tree

However, this wasn't always the case, as the first FF game to feature a proper logo was FFIV (Kain Highwind the Dragoon). Before FFIV, the first three FF games didn't actually have a logo, as the Japanese versions just had the title written in styilised writing - the 'new' logos for the PSX remakes of FFI and II just adopted some of Amano's old artworks for the first two games.

For FFI, the new logo featured a picture of the Fighter (the original painting included Princess Sarah in the background) and FFII had Emperor Paramekia (of whcih the original painting also included Frionel, Guy, Maria and Lionheart at the bottom, with Hilda and Minwu in the background.). No logo currently exits for FFIII though.

Yup. It's very obvious. Anyone here who is a fan of FF and doesn't notice that is stupid.

That mech-bot thing you're saying is an important part of the game, actually.

I never said it wasn't - but the arguement was that the logo was the MOST significant thing in the game. My arguement was that even though, yes - the mech bot is significant, it isn't THE MOST significant thing in the game.

Hope that cleared things up......

YOU KNOW WHAT PEOPLE..................~stops to collect himself~...........you didn't have to be so rude and mean. i just wanted to post this thread because it seems like no one had. and besides, the thing i was really asking was that what was so important about squall and rinoa, besides the ultimecia/rinoa theory where rinoa goes crazy because squall dies and becomes ultimecia.

relax... i just noticed why they have an illustration of a man tipping a soda vending machine backward with phrases like, " DO NOT SHAKE " and " POSSIBLE DEATH OR INJURY " written under it. now that was REAL foreshadowing, and much more obvious than FFlogos, thank-you-very-much.

Anyname, you know that you can edit your posts, right? Please don't double post.

And if you're asking about what was so important about the logo of FFVIII, about that Squall and Rinoa issue, shouldn't you just make a thread about it in the FFVIII forum? If that's your main question to ask in this thread, then why the hell do you still need to throw in what you think about the other FF logos?

i've tried that, but when i delete the first one, it says it's the message is to short and i have to have at least 20 letters.

And we're not being mean, we're just pointing out the mistake.

i did that. read the parentheses in the second post. oh, and i'm talking about the people saying i was dumb for not noticing the logo thing earlier(even though i noticed it a long time ago, but decided to make a thread just recently), not about my double post.

It's because why would you post something like that? Why do you still need to create a topic like that? A topic that everyone mostly knows. Seriously. You should've just posted your main question in the right forum. Like in your case, your question is about the importance of the image in the logo of FFVIII. So why don't you just post your main question in the FFVIII forum?

Following this fascinating line of thought, is there a reason that Dirge of Cerberus has a nonsensical deformation of Squall's Lionheart tog as it's emblem?
