i should mention that this second all in the family soundtrack does not contain any new stuff but rather it has excerpts from several of the shows most famous episodes..so you get to listen to all in the family as opposed to watching it for a change!

Wow, pumma4, these records are a type of audio time capsule!

Archie Bunker was an interesting character for interesting times. Listening to his circular reasoning was always cringe-inducing yet hilarious. These records are definitely interesting from an anthropological standpoint :)

Today, Archie Bunker and his kind are anachronisms. There's still a few like him, wandering around like proverbial dinosaurs, not realizing their end is already here. Other than a few last gasps of hot air, they're dying out quickly, just like those dinosaurs.

Listening to Archie in these records is not unlike holding up a snapshot of Americana, circa 1972, and comparing that image with today's present time. So many similarities, and even more differences.
