I`m (very soon) gonna pick up Guild wars, and it`s gonna be my first ever online RPG.
Can`t wait.

Apart from RPG`s, the best game i`ve played online is possibly, Counter strike source or Medal of honour:Allied assault.

The major downside of online games is the cost of playing, so I only play the ones that are either free or that I enjoy a lot.

What, it's only AU$40 bimonthly - that's AU$5 a week, which works out to be about US$3 a week.

It's cheaper than a Big Mac!

Good thing about WoW, too, is the prepaid game cards, which means that those people without a credit card can get in on the action too!

I think you have to keeping paying to keep your account activated - I could be wrong though.

Did you ever play Guild wars?Good?

Nope. I'm a uni student - WoW screws with my study enough!

The only other online game i've played is Final Fantasy XI - the world is fantastic, the people are great - but, and I hate to say this, the gameplay is horrible. The downtime between enemies means you're sitting around more often than not, and it takes ages to do anything.

And apparantly in Guild wars there`s no levelling up,:)
I dunno, i read some great reviews, i might get it. I realy don`t plan on paying monthly fees.:/

One thing i don`t get, how can the guys who made Guild wars pay for the servers? I thought they need to charge monthly fees to pay for them. ??

I'm REALLY enjoying City of Heroes at the moment.

I have been sort of burned out on MMORPGS after playing Everquest, then FFXI, then Everquest 2. City of Heroes however was definitely a breath of fresh air as it is so much different than any other MMORPG i've played, and I'm absolutely loving it.

I'm probably going to stick with it and not touch any of the other ones until D&D Online comes out. For some reason I have just been very hesitant to pick up WoW, and I doubt I will any time soon. It just really doesn't appeal to me, as it looks to have pretty much the same gameplay as every other MMORPG out.

I've played City of Heroes, both beta and a couple of times at a friend's place. I love the character costumisation, there's a chance f on in a million and a bit more that someone has the same char you do. What I loathed about the game that all you were doing is grinding, it got so freaking tedious.

Never played any MMORPG games yet, but if I had a choice it would be Final Fantasy XI. Not sure why I like it so much.

If Matrix Online and Star Wars galaxies didn't suck so much, I would SO buy them in an instant. I mean, the entire Star Wars galaxy in a game sends chills down my back.

About the only online game I play at the moment is FFXI and Tetra Master, although I have played a little of Ragnarok Online. FFXI is a very good game - not perfect, but then NO game is perfect (and if you think a game is perfect, then you're seriously deluded), and naturally suffers from more than it's fair share of problems.

But they're rather minor in my opinion. The main problem in my case is finding enougth time to dedciate to it, as I'm a full-time student, FFXI is a massive time-sink.
