This is far from the sort of thing I'd typically draw, but it's really the only current work I have scanned. I feel the need to share. It was drawn in November of last year at the behest of one of my father's friends. That's the story. Here is the drawing.

pretty good, especially the bear. But why'd you shade the insides of the wings completely ? They really don't look like wings at all. More like a shell of some kind. Do you have a decent collection of pencils for a variety of grades of shading?

Of course I don't. I know I should use different pencils for certain things but I never have. We've talked about this before, concerning backgrounds and such. My stubborness about this subject leads to foregrounds that aren't distinct enough. I'm too lazy to care I guess.

As far as the way the wings look, I don't know. I looked at some different pictures of how people draw wings, and I combined a few different looks. The complete shading in the inside is from my comic influence, obviously.
