Well, as we all know, when you start Kimahri on the Sphere Grid, you pretty much have to follow in the footsteps of one of the other members of your party (i.e., if Kimahri went one way, he'd follow Lulu and become good at black magic, and if he followed Yuna, he'd become good at white magic, etc.) Just curious- which path did you/do you normally have Kimahri follow, and which path do you think is the best?

I had Kimahri follow Auron's path at first, he became pretty strong. I still didnt like Kimahri though, cause all he had was good physical damage. Afterwards I made him to a thief (rikku's sphere) and then into a black mage (lulu's path). So he was a fighter, thief, and black magic user...

But Im starting FFX over to see if i can max out everyones stats, and the best path for Kimahri as I see it, is that of a white mage. Fits best, and its always good to have another healer... especially when you dont have Yuna around at one point

i will have my kihmari to follow tidus until he learn hastega, then i will use teleport sphere and teleport him to lulu GA magic.since that very useful for him. then follow auron since this is a good place for high str and def. then to wakka to get high acc and evasion and the last one to yuna. i omly teach kihmari steal, coz he has to steal lvl 3 sphere from his friend at mt gagazet. thats the only reason.

I made him follow Yuna's grid so I have another healer in the party. Then I made him follow Rikku's then Lulu's and then the other's grid.

Actually I never level Kimahri from the moment I got him, then at some point I've gotten both a teleport/friend sphere and a level 4 key sphere. I level Kimahri to unlock the Ultima skill, warped Lulu there, got her the skill, warped back. I never really planned on it, but it did prove damn usefull. I've gotten it quite fast, if I recall right, I got it before the -agas.

I made Kimahri follow Tidus first of all then I made him into a black mage because he had high HP and Lulu never did so i found that useful.

Kihmari's good for a spare white mage, black mage, samurai, thief or whatever you mostly need. I think that's what he is for, in my opinion.

Yeah, Kimahri is there for you to build him up however way you need him.

He's a waste of character imo

I pretty much hated Kimahri. He was okay at everything, without specilising in anything.

Kimahri is pretty awesome. I made him follow Tidus's path and then Auron's. He became my strongest character, only surpassed by Auron. Plus he had the support magic Tidus uses. In the end, Kimahri was one of my most useful characters and I always use them all.

I usually always start on Tidus's path...you know to make his speed go up and you know a little bit of strength as well.

The best thing to to, is to have him start with Tidus', thus building up his agility and speed, then take him to Wakkas and have him learn the Dark, Silence and Sleep attacks, and build his strength a little, after take him to Aurons, to build his Strength and HP considerably. After that, I dont think it really matters.

I usually send Kimarhri down Wakka's or Tidus's paths, but he never really worked for me there because Wakka and Auron were so far down their paths that it kinda made Kimahri absolete. I heard sending him down Rikku's is pretty good, especially to get Theif abilties early before Rikku is available.

I sent him down Rikku's path. Didn't mean to, just had to pick a direction. I actually left out teaching him how to steal, though--his Agility really wasn't that good.
It actually irritates me a bit. Kimahri can become anything... but there will be somebody else in your party who can do it better, so he's kinda obsolete.

I didnt know where the hell to send any of my characters. I just moved them around anywhere they could go. My kimahri is pretty useless. He know most of the blck magic spells but he has low magic. My characters are all a little muddled. I taught everyone but auron the elemental blck magic spells but lulus really the only one that actually does damage with them.

I've used the expert grid the second time around, and maxed out all my characters...and Kimahri initially made him go through Auron's path, this will make him pretty strong and make most boss fights easier, then go through Wakka's to exceed damage 9999 (if you have a celestial weapon or a BDL weapon), then through Tidus' path, which will make his attacks deal around 70,000 or 80,000 hp and accurate, then through Rikku's path which will make make all attackes deal 99,999 hp, and make him very agile, then its really up to you to go through Yuna's path and then Lulu's or viceversa becuase by this time he will be too strong and dont need to heal him or use black magic either! :)
but if you are wondering what i've done, i went through Yuna's Path, then through Lulu's!
