When Final Fantasy XII comes out will you wait for the price to come down, buy it right away or wait till it goes platinum. Or other if your playstation is chipped and you will copy it or just borrow it off a friend. Or maybe you won't get it at all.

We have spent a long time waiting but I think it's worth waiting for. The longer they take the better. If they released it early it could be rushed or we could end up with an unfinished game, so I'm happy to wait as long as it takes for the game to be finished.

I'm going to buy it as soon as it comes out. I agree that the more time they spend on it the better it'll be, but the waitings killing me

Well it's safe to say that almost everyone(on this site) will by the game.

I'll wait for the price to come down. Hey, it's like $50+tax! And the tax is mostly $5 so that's like $55! I'll just wait for the price to come down. Plus, there's still some more games I wanna buy other than Final Fantasy XII.

I'm gonna get ff12 straight away, only problem is the ff games get held back because of translation problems :-(

I'll borrow It when after one of my friends has beaten it, or I'll get it for Christmas. I have no intention actually purchasing a game for myself, when it is more than 2 years past it's original release date for Japan, hence it should've been out in the U.S. already... but Square-Enix speant their time on other things and dragged their feet on this one for two years. We can hope that this 2 year delay has resulted in it becoming more refined(Then it would be the most refined of all the FF's.) But then again, it's also possible that they weren't working on it at all during the delay time, so they are just rushing the game to the shelves as fast as they can right now... In that case there's a good chance the game will be of a lower quality. Who knows. Maybe they have been actually working on developing it all this time. Then perhaps all this development time has produced an almost flawless game engine... Or not... Lets just keep our hopes up...

But me, I'm not holding my breath on anything.

As soon as it comes out most likely, unless reviews contradict what I have seen so far and label it as a "FFX-2-eske" game.

The Wii is going to be out before FFXII, so it should in fact be that you are going to buy the Wii out of your FFXII funds.

Also: It ships on Halloween, you won't actually be able to pick it up until November 1st.

To be perfectly honest, I'm still not sold on the game. I'm probably going to wait several weeks at least before I consider buying it. Once I've seen how like-minded people react to it, I'll make my decision. Either way, I'll probably care a lot more about my Wii at that point.

I know what you mean, I wasn't so sure either but I read news on XII the other day that made me set my mind on buying it. It seems a wise decision but like you said, it's best to see what others think first.

I'll more than likely borrow it to start with, just to see how much I like it. If it turns out that i do then i'll buy a copy.

God, I've had this thing on reserve since last year <_<.

When I got the call about a collector's edition I renewed it immediately. I thought at first I was being way too obsessive, but I've come to find out that all the Gamestops around here have already been over-reserved for the game and aren't taking any more requests for them. Guess I'm not alone, here...

being a veteran of RPGs, i'd have to pass this one up...personally, i'm tired of all the hype around the FF series (all it's done is create linear games with hardly any difficulty to speak of...i.e. just attack, heal, repeat)...after a while you lose any interest in such games...
i refuse to believe that Square and Enix have merged completely, all the games that were originally Enix's work are fun, reasonably difficult, and had high replay value (Examples: Star ocean, Valkyrie profile, Dragon warrior/quest)
these statements in place, i'm gonna save my money to get a PSP(finally), along with both the remake of Valkyrie Profile and Silmeria
i could care less if that game goes double plat or whatever in Japan, Rob Zombie's sold more multi-plat albums and nobody seems to care about him
