Odin gets killed by seifer in the third disc and turns into giglamesh but hes not a gf you can summon hes random and thats why hes not on the list

Gilgameshes origin is questionable, he was in previous FF. Although don`t worry where he came from, point is, he is in the game and he`s shit cool.

well if you have played the game you will see odin comes too kill seifer but suprise suprise seifer kills odin you continue to battle and eventually giglamesh comes too kill seifer , seifer is blown away you win yay!!!!!

all right Third CD, last fight with Seifer, Odin tries to Zantetsuken but Seifer kills him, then at the end of the battle, Appears Gilgamesh, saying that Odin is dead so he will take Odin's sword, then he attack's seifer!!! Gilgamesh is an individual Gf not a morph

FFVIII has four CD's. The part where Seifer kills Odin was the last part of CD 3, and that's when Gilgamesh takes over.

Odin appears randomly in FFVIII. RANDOMLY. He cannot be actually summoned. He appeared in the battle and tried to kill Seifer because your characters have so many luck at that battle that Odin has to appear(He appears a lot of times if you have lots of luck and how many Dead Spirits there are in your inventory.) He tries to kill Seifer but Seifer was too powerful that he defeats Odin. Then Gilgamesh sensed that his bestfriend had been killed so he appeared and took revenge at Seifer, by killing him.

Honestly, I think that this thing about Odin and Gilgamesh has something to do with Ultimecia and the Time Compression. That's what I heard about.

oh, i always thought odin got owned but wasnt down and out and came back a little later in the fight, really pissed off, in his new form. This anouther reason for me to play the game again. Yea but your way does make more sense. But for some reason im sure its still odin! I will HAVE to play it again now!. =)
