How do you say SeeD. I think it's like seed that you plant in the ground. But some people say its like CD all becuase of the capital D on the end. What do you think it is?

Detonate is correct, "seed" is 'canon,' as such. I always pronounced "CD" in my head though before I knew better, honestly, I still do sometimes. But, yes, "seed" is what's right. Here's the quote in question, it's a favorite of mine:

Warden: Don't mess with me! Edea says you know something! Now spit it out! Talk! What is SeeD all about!?
Squall: (SeeD... Aren't we... mercenaries...from Balamb Garden... Special forces...?)
Warden: Hm? Yeah, so!?
Squall: (I...I don't know any...anything... W-Why...do you...keep...asking...me...)
<<...I'll lie...I must live...>>
Squall: ......
Warden: What's that?
Squall: ...Flower.
Warden: What did you say?
Squall: The true...goal of SeeD...To spread...seeds all over the world... Fill...the world w...with flowers.
Warden: Yeah right...!
Squall: I...It's the truth. See...ing flowers...Takes...away people's will to fight.
Warden: What then? SeeD wants to bring love and peace to the world...? Ha haha hah! Don't make me laugh! You can't fool me!
Squall: W-We...steal the will to fight...Then we in...invade...
Warden: ...What? Hey!!! Watch him!

Well, as people have said, simple enough --- the capitalized D leads people to believe its two syllables. Of course, even never-minding the conversation when you think about it, it really does make sense that it would be pronounced "seed" when you connect it with Garden, but sometimes stuff like that just doesn't click...

exactly. couldn't have put it better myself

the capitalized "d" is just there for decoration. it's to make it seem not lame by having it just be "Seed". it looks better as "SeeD"

I used pronounce it s-ed a few years back and i still kind of do
not because i didn't know it was seed, but because i thought it sounded cooler than seed.

When i was younger i thought it was just weird seeing big bad mercenaries talking about planting seeds all over the world, but now it doesn't matter to me, but i still just call it s-ed because it sounds cooler for some reason. =)

Seed, and it MUST be seed becuase in a part of disck 2 when squall is being tortured you can choose what to say, one of those choices (not lo leave him die i think) made squall change the meaning of the word seed when he had to lie. he wouldn't be able to change the way he spells it so he could just change the meening of SeeD into seed.

I'm gonna follow Jander on this one because there's really nothing else to argue. It's been proved reasonably well that the proper pronunciation is "seed." If anyone wants to pronounce it the other way, it's personal preference, but there's really no good argument for it.
