Hey guys,

Here's the new music for FFXIV: Shadowbringers expansion. There are a total of 56 new tracks. Songs that have Orchestrion rolls have been properly titled (Vamo'alla Flamenco didn't have an Orchestrion roll, but it was easy enough to discern what it was), and the only other tracks with a normal file name are the Ending Credits compilation and the Opening Movie. (the latter track is also the only MP4 track since I couldn't convert a 6ch file to MP3) The rest have their hex file locations as names.

Below is a list of where the named tracks are obtained from, so probably have a hint where they play in game:

Rencounter (Probably the overworld battle theme. Obtained in Crystarium or Eulmore)

The Source (Lakeland)
Fierce and Free (Il Mheg)
The Dark Which Illuminates the World (The Crystarium)
What Angel Wakes Me (Probably Titania. Comes from Ex Primal Drop)
Deep Down (Malikah's Well)
Civilizations (Rak'tika)
Sands of Amber (Amh Araeng)
In the Belly of the Beast (Mt. Gulg)
Full Fathom Five (Norvrandt)
Insanity (Another Ex Primal drop, probably the 2nd Primal)
A World Divided (Kholusia)
Shadowbringers (Main Theme, Quest Reward)
Tomorrow and Tomorrow (The other "main" theme, Quest Reward)


Each song was looped once (if it had a loop point listed in its source file) with a fade out. There are some songs without loops, (I suck at doing them manually) but they have a natural transition to the end of their song.

Thank you for this as always Orophin (especially for that awesome remix of Vamo ala Flamenco, which for those who haven't yet gotten in game appears during a cutscene for the first DNC Job quest fittingly). Soken keeps going from strength to strength (even though Uematsu no longer is involved due to his medically enforced retirement and thus no vocal theme song this time).

56? I got 61 new music+ files, plus 4 new files in the base game music folder. But one of the 4 new base game files is just the already-existing Gold Saucer theme, so the other 8 might also be duplicates. I haven't checked through them except for the 4 base game additions to check, though.

Only four new tracks from what I can tell, all pointing to Eden. Two are from FF8 as Enkidoh pointed out (Blue Fields, the world map theme, and Force Your Way, the boss theme) and two original tracks.

Off topic but anyway, thank your for the kind words - yes it's a generic female White Mage/Priest from the original FF Tactics - specficially official artwork by Akihiko Yoshida for the PSP War of the Lions rerelease of FFT (the image is of Ramza and several other player units surrounded by numerous generic Job units, including WHMs.), which was used as the cover artwork for the US version. fun fact the Lydha Lran music is a remix of an unused track that's been in the game since 2.0. also good to know I'm not the only one to question whether I had downloaded the Chrono Cross soundtrack by mistake when listening to the amaro theme

No new music in 5.05, but they did release a new Orchestrion roll which reveals the name of another track. Insatiable is the name of the dungeon boss theme. (63d24abd in the rip) It's obtained from the new map dungeon, Lyhe Ghiah.
