The Long Duel is a 1967 British adventure film directed by Ken Annakin and starring Yul Brynner, Trevor Howard, Charlotte Rampling and Harry Andrews. It is set in British-ruled India of the 1920s but filmed in Spain. (Thank god they did not rule Spain). John Scott no stranger to ethnic film scoring came up with this thunderous and inventive score in which he used traditional Indian instruments as part of the orchestra. Never released on CD this transfer was done from a sealed vinyl US pressing and is the very best sound for a film and record of this time
