As considered by most critics of the day "Boom" was panned as a disaster of a film. But in hindsight it is now being viewed as a cult classic. Here we have a rare John Barry score that I thought would never see the light of day.
Scores that are bold and full blown and soaring. Here in "Boom:" he is lyrically whimsical and at the same time dramatic. The circus motif of the opening titles set the tone of everything being out of touch with reality and of another world, private, beyond normal and a little insane. And yet it is one of his most hauntingly gorgeous efforts for the movies.
Enchanting in a very 1960's way and for any Barry fan a must have.
Never released properly on CD due to soundtrack masters being unavailable. Restored from an original UK pressing in 24 bit audio
