X-Men 2: Wolverines Revenge Soundtrack by Ian Livingstone (FLAC)

Developed by GenePool Software and published by Activision to concide with the X Men 2 film even though
it had nothing to do with the film and even featured Hugh Jackman on the games box art and he had nothing to do with the game either.

A sequel was planned but never finalised.

Apparently some time ago on Youtube, Ian Livingstone mentioned he wasn't fond of his work on this game which, I disagree with as
this game has an exceptionally good score. It was released OFFICIALLY many agos which is where I got the names for each song from and is harder to find nowadays and if you do manage to somewhere, it will be most likely LOSSY .MP3.

unusually cheesy sounding samples for a 2003 release. the instrumentation kind of reminds me of the soundtracks from the journeyman project games from the early/mid 90s.

thanks for all your work on the FLAC release! always great to see more obscure titles get properly preserved and introduced to new listeners.

My pleasure! Always great to hear such things. I'll have to have a look at the Journeyman project trilogy of games at some point. I have always thought the music on this game was superb, even as a child. This game often gets overlooked.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Ian Livingstone got back to me recently and has given me the clean cutscene music which is fantastic. Will be putting it up real soon.

No problem. They are rare as they are not seperated in game, only to the cutscenes.

Good job the original composer, Ian Livingstone, was kind enough to help me out and send them to me.

Awesome job :)

I would love to get my hands on the missing cutscene cues from Metal Gear Solid, but the real composer Gigi Meroni is unreachable.

I just looked him up and it seems you are right. I would love a complete version of Metal Gear Solid with the missing cutscene cues as well. I might know a way to find him though.

Maybe but I know that someone on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPFC1KyzmowaV6zTPXzWB6Q) right is actually but slowly recreating some of the cues from the game but sounds exactly like they did from back in the day.

No prob, figured it might be of some interest to you. The guy definitely needs all the support he can get in order to continue the project :)
