Jesus. We havent seen this one before.

Simple explanation: Translation screw-up from Japanese to English.

The difference: none.

Aeris wasn't ressurrected for KH, did it ever occur to you, that even though it has Final Fantasy characters, it's a COMPLETLY different game?

Here is a more precise explanation from Nomura himself. Kingdom Hearts: Aeris & Cloud Read somewhere in the middle of that page.

Exactly. There is no difference. Aerith and Aeris are the same person. It's a translation mistake.

Did you know that the letters in the name "Aeris" can be prearranged to spell "Raise". This is one of the reasons why so many people believed Aerith could be ressurrected.

If you scramble Aeris' name around you'll get many different words not just Raise.

1. Aries
2. Aesir
3. Arise

It's Just a transalation mistake, funny how some ppl might think aerith is aeris twin sister or family member

Maybe cause in the east the pronounce "th" like "s".

I'm a bit curious about the "s" and the "th" thing. The song One Winged Angel for Sephiroth, they're really singing Sephiros instead of sephiroth. And now they're changing Aeris' name to Aerith. Wassup with that eh? :whatever:

In Kh, The story isn't the SAMMME Cloud is Trying to find Sephiroth, like it say's on they're profiles on the Journal Section, and if you see the end Cloud meets Aerith, so ths is a different story, i just figured out something... Since the world of Cloud was destroyed Cloud thinks Aerith is dead, but in the end he meets her on a scene that we can see on the final credits

KH is a mere spin off of characters, it hasn`t nothing to do with the story or world of FFVII. And Cloud id not searching for Sephiroth but he is actually looking for Aerith. I read it in anterview with Tetsuya Nomura, i can`t track it down right now but you`ll have to take my word for it.

That's actually common sense. Like cloud looking different and tidus being puny. They just brought aeris to the game to give it a more square-enix look. But anyways they must think aeris is a valuable ascet. So furthermore they brought aeris to the game just like the brought aeris in ff tactics.

Aeris and Aerith are basically the same word derived from the original Japanese name spelling

KH has no time relationship with FF. Just the characters. Aerith is the Japanese version of Aeris.
