The tracks were ripped from a playlist posted on The Tube of You by Grand Shriner @Amiral - check out his Youtube channe (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWa9Egtq18nqhZTf0ghKgKQ)l!

The ID3 tags and filenames have all been sorted in the order established in the original playlist. High resolution cover art is of course also included.

Here's the link to the album.

These are my rips, actually, from my YouTube channel, with my own titles (at the time, the titles of the tracks were unknown). These tracks were manually remixed in stereo, as they were 5.1, so the balance might be a bit different than from the original tracks (Knut Avenstroup Haugen posted some on his website).

Ah, thank you for that background information!

Would you like me to make any attributions to you in the original post and/or in the album as well?

My primary goal (which I hope is obvious) is to share the music itself, rather than take any credit for it.

Thank you for speaking up and letting me know about this - I don't know which posters here at FFS also manage Youtube music channels.

Cheers,

-S

No problem! It's all about the music!

But yes, you can credit me as the ripper. This was a labor of love :-)

Ripping the whole Age of Conan game, sorting through thousands of unnamed sound files, identifying tracks and remixing them took me weeks, and as far as I know, I'm the only one who did so. You can find the 100% complete game rip on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWa9Egtq18nqhZTf0ghKgKQ

Done! I've shamelessly name-dropped your excellent self in both the 'Reasons For Editing' text box as well as in the main post, and included a link to your YouTube channel as well, for any parties that might be interested in visiting it!

(I hope it comes across in my posts, but my attitude is the same as yours - it's all about the music! Am not interested in the status or ego factor; just want to share excellent, hard-to-find music with passionate fans!)

Cheers,

On the topic of The Age of Conan, I have an album that I found (I think it was posted on Funcom's FTP server?) that doesn't seem to have had any sort of online presence.

My Google-fu has failed me in locating any meaningful information about this album. Perhaps you might know more?

The Tracklist

Not sure why it's so hard to find any information on this album. The trail has had zero leads thus far.

Thx for the mention.

As for your question, the official soundtrack for Rise of the Godslayer has indeed 23 tracks. I have never seen these track titles before, and they are not in line with Knut Avenstroup Haugen's usual pattern for titles. So my guess would be that they are the same tracks as the ones found in the official soundtrack, but named by a Funcom employee (maybe before Haugen came up with final titles).

Peace,

E
