Hey everyone, I've just done an article on Resident Evil 2 Remake. Let me know what you think! :D

Resident Evil 2 Remake is brilliant, it truly is. It's not perfect though.

Here are 5 Things I Like, 5 Things I Don't Like, and 5 Things I Would Have Changed.

They supposedly changed the Tyrant's super form in order to maintain a sense of realism, or something to that end. Why change something so iconic, though? It isn't as if the same basic Tyrant design hasn't appeared in both REmake and RE0, both of which were meant to cleanse the B-movie, horribly-voice-acted, super-anime-to-the-point-of-having-actual-anime-voice-actors, crap presentation of how real human beings would behave and react in such a situation. Which I believed....until I saw James Marcus in RE0. Bottom line, Tyrant's redesign was a bit of a letdown.

Your thoughts on the A/B scenario are also on point. Clearly a tacked on feature. Capcom somehow had the horribly misinformed notion that people "didn't want branching storylines", or something to that end, ergo we get "scenario A all over again but with Tyrant stomping around from the outset and now that gunpowder is in a different room". At least they still put effort into the final standoff on the tram.

Not much else to add at the moment. But thank you for opening a discussion on this. It's been a major part of each weekend for me since launch. God help me.

Totally dig the new changes they made into RE2... resident evil 2 remake is a badass game with lots of scare jump moments!

Let's be honest; we all thought the fedora on Mr. X was a pisstake at first. But having seen him in action, it lends itself to his overall presence.

Not even William Birkin is anywhere near as relevant now as he once was. Talk about a fall from grace. This is a game with a lot more positives than negatives, and let's not forget those holes in the wall, courtesy of my boy Nemesis. We'll be seeing him in the near future but in the meantime, nothing beats this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5PY4lZazX8) utter terror! Quakin' in my boots over here, I am.

I've watched some videos on YT and I must say this one has its ups and downs. It's a totally new game to begin with and I wonder if its success will propel CAPCOM to create more remakes / reboots. I'm not dying for a RE 3 or -CODE VERONICA- remakes / reboots as I like the originals a lot and I'm also a purist regarding original gaming experience.

RE 2 Remake is a re-imagining of the original but CAPCOM took many liberties and also experimented a lot with it.
Perhaps in the day I play it I may change my opinion. Or not.

CONS:
claires face.
annettes face
removing the actual scenario b.
zero continuity with this "second run" bullshit.
window in west hallway near the stairs is still intact despite nemesis smashin through it a day before.
zombies are too bullet spongy.
making ribbons only available on hardcore.
over half the games ost cannot be considered music.
missing birkin forms

pros:
claire in skin tight biker suit
sherry's naked model looks nice in sfm.
