Quick (stupid) question about this release.

It's a CBS Records/Sony Classical release from 1990. Would it be allowed here at the Shrine?

Or does it having the Star Wars Trilogy name mean that it's still a 20th Century Fox release?

I should know these things but...I'm tired and feeling generous at the same time lol.

Thanks for the 411 on this!

It is fantastic, isn't it?

I first popped it in for a listen back in 1996 and for some reason it played, "Forest Battle" first.

The base in this track shocked me and it took a few seconds register what I was listening to.

So crisp. So good. Mmmmhmmm!

Very much! Listening to this led me to getting the other soundtracks from the movies. It's even better when you hear it live. I saw John Williams in concert at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago. Having him conduct his own music, and listening to him describe one of his favorite pieces he wrote for the movies (Rey's Theme from The Force Awakens)....if you ever get a chance to see him, I would highly recommend attending, wherever it is. :)

Awesome, wasn't it? I was able to see it years ago, with Anthony Daniels narrating portions of it. Seeing the scenes from the movie playing with the music....it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

How did Napoleon Dynamite say it? "LUCKYYYY!"

That is my goal before the man retires. I read that Episode 9 will be his last Star Wars. I'm sure he'll have a nice finale tour for it.

Now to hear the Raiders March live...that is a bucket list moment for me.

He'll probably retire from film scoring after Episode 9. Or he realised how awful these new movies are and wants to leave.

Ah! When music in cinema was real music! This is superbly orchestrated. Sounds great too! I remember when this came out. back then was exciting and fresh and fun time. They really dont do concept albums like this anymore. Fantastic share!

Those releases will always remain FOX, so they're not allowed.
