Hmm all I did was put up wall on everyone and kept the pressure on him and he fell quite easily.

It would help to know what level your characters are and if you've done any sidequests like chocobo raising but heres some general tips in the meantime:

Have someone cast Big guard if you have it, this'll protect you for a while and cast haste which is important, especially against his last form.

For the first form simply pound away until it dies, which shouldnt take to long. Dont worry about the monster things he spawns, just focus on him, as they will respawn if you kill them.

For the second form it helps if you have slash all but its not needed. You can just summon your strongest summon and pound away or simply focus on the main body until he dies. Putting regen up at the start of this battle would be a good idea as well.

The third form is pretty fast so make sure you cast Big guard again (or wall and haste) and again pound away with your limits and summons. Have 2 people attacking and have the other character casting cure3 all as need be and you should have no problem.

If you're having problems with Hojo, this probably means you need to spend some more time leveling up your characters.

This is exactly your problem. at this stage of the game you should really know how to haddle bosses and work out there odd little crap stratigies. LEVEL UP!

i'd disagree using the strongest summon on the second form, save that for the last. on the second form use magic attacks such as ultima and comet 2, and others with 'all' equipped.

I think you should load up your last save game before the fight, and go level up for an hour or two. At this point in the game you should be at least lvl 55-60. The only explanation for hojo still giving you problems is that you rushed through the game a lil bit and need to go beef up before you fight him.

For once I gotta agree.

He is one of the easiest bosses in the game. If you got the ribbons along the way you should have no problems with him what so ever.

No strategy needed a simple battle

I'd disagree with using a summon at all. You do not need to use a summon at all on this boss.

Simply Strategy: Have one designated Healer (Preferbly the one with cure 3 , life etc.)
Have the others do summons and powerful magic attacks such as ultima and meteor. And of course use your limit breaks when they come around. Hojo will be done no problem. If all else fails level up. (Its also good to have ribbons for the status alignments he throws at you)

I've personally found I can rush through the game without much problems if I have the right materias etc. That usually puts me at around lvl 52-54-ish.

I usually have HP plus, Magic plus on various members, and the all important Cover+Counter attack with YUFFIE. Yuffie would have the Conformer by then and she'll give massive damage. Don't forget the Big Guard as well.

Or...one can go cheap and do KOTR :P

I'd disagree with using a summon at all. You do not need to use a summon at all on this boss.

You do if you're too weak for physical or magical attacks to be effective, lol. And that seems to be the case here.
