I played the complete recording yesterday and enjoyed it immensely, especially because we hear many cues which are completely new, because the final music edit of the movie used only part of the sessions (which either were destroyed or, at least, lost), and there are even cues which probably never were recorded in the sessions, but survived in the manuscript from Herrmann. This is probably the most complete recording of Herrmann's score, as intended by him. According to the liner notes, the final edit for the movie was in no way near to what Herrmann had expected, he was very disappointed and ended his collaboration with Francois Truffaut after just two movies (Fahrenheit 451 was the first one).

A side note: Quartet has already announced their next project which is planned: A complete re-recording of "Endless Night", also by Herrmann and probably also lost like "Bride", hence the same treatment. These are great times!

Some members attacked Quartet CD before listening the album. This is just a continuation. How many re-recordings are scrutinized like this? This is sad. Great work and great re-recording in my opinion
