I don't think he have the 3 CD Set, he only posts digital rips. I ordered mine, but it will be at least 2 more long weeks until I have this Precious in my hands http://www.en.kolobok.us/smiles/standart/shout.gif

The intended score is different enough to be worthy of inclusion but it does take some getting used to. I’m finishing up disc one now and while the score is extremely repetitive, Kilar has that magic touch. I happen to like all of his themes so it doesn’t bother me to hear them over and over, in ways we don’t hear in either the film or the original album. I haven’t got to the bonus material yet but I’m wondering how much work a film edit would end up being. I know some work is going to need to be done for me to be fully satisfied with it.

I’m quite impressed with LaLaLand’s efforts. Never saw this one coming.

Mine should be shipping this week so I’ll try to get some scans of the booklet for the ones who are interested.

Bram Stoker's Dracula is not lossless. As you can see, cut off above 20kHZ. Whereas the Potter scores uploaded are indeed lossless.

This is the only Download Links we have, all of them for Uploaded.net, instead of a decent server.
Somehow, everyone here seems able to download it, yet I never could because my internet isn't that fast.

What's the secret? How do you do it? It's Uploaded.net just for NASA members or what?

not necessarily.... small parts of Harry Potter and some tracks of Schindler's list all have cut-off frequencies on the original CDs...it's a matter of the source files, not the rip ...could be the case here, too

For the sake of argument, perhaps. However, unlike those errant Potter and Schindler tracks, the cut-off frequency of this rip is consistent across the board.

Of course the only way to know for certain would be to compare it to another lossless rip.

This is a fantastic share, wow, thanks very much miss purple.

not a complaint per se, but I do think this particular one, unlike other fantastic shares by miss purple which seem legit, this one seems to be indeed a transcode. I've tested it with spek, audiocheck and thefunk, (nothing definitive to be honest but seems to be a fake FLAC) but regardless as people say if we want a perfect version the only way is to buy it, so to have this for free, is nothing short of amazing

About the music, I just wished the movie itself had been at the same level than the music. Kilar's work deserved a masterpiece, but coppola felt well short. The music has a magic and a romanticism that the movie never achieves. BUT if you switch popol vuh score from Herzog's masterpiece and put kilar instead, that'd been the perfect match, because unlike coppola's dracula, nosferatu is an iuncredible and lyrica piece of work that would be worthy of kilar's exceptional music.

Who agrees, disagrees with me? would kilar's score had been a good match for the 1978 nosferatu version? or do you think it went well with coppola's hollywoodish version?

Great movie, great score, many thanks!

I don't agree with you miniaturo, Coppola, if he doesn't really stay faithfull to the novel, write a love letter to cinema with many "clins d'oeil" to masterpieces, and some of the actors are great (Oldman is excellent, Keanu Reeves is the only one who doesn't seems to fit his role).

About the Herzog version of Nosferatu, I always disliked it because too similar to the original masterpiece and without a real interst in my opinion (a littl bit like Tarantino swipes for example).

On the other hand, I don't know if you have seen the movie "Shadow of the vampire" with malkovich and Dafoe which is about the making of Nosferatu?
It's a great addition to the Murnau movie!

Ok, so here is the thing. The source from both the MP3 and FLAC is a MP3 320 rip that is posted on rutracker.org (https://rutracker.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5659627) (where no transcodes are allowed). The FLAC rip is a transcode from that MP3 320 rip.

Ive seen shadow of the vampire, which I think also has pretty good music (cant remember from whom though)

I do like from coppola's version the visuals, think he put most of his effort there. Winona ryder didnt match oldman's good performance and old soul IMO, she seems and looks too much like a girl, not quite a woman. I actually prefer the Mina character in the langella version, which, hehe, also has great music from john williams. I also like this version much mroe than coppola's, and langella plays dracula with a more imposing and aristocratic style than even Oldman.

Oldman's performance is pretty good, but not noble enough IMO. The main aspect about dracula is he's part of a dying elite, a true count from the old world, something christopher lee or langella or kinski understood very well. Not sure Oldman paid much attention to this crucial aspect IMO, but I'm not knocking down oldman's performance, its pretty good
