Album 1 (new arrangement and remixes) features only the new arrangements and remixes included in this game. They are sorted by franchise and within each franchise the order remains from the game's music player. ID3 tags for artists/supervisors for all tracks. Album 2 (new original score) features all the original music created for the game, meaning it includes the many iterations of Lifelight, soundtrack for World of Light, Spirits and Classic Mode, and so on. The E3 version of the theme is not included within the game, but I included it anyway.

Albums 3, 4, 5 and 6 are a collection the original Smash games music that is included within the games files. Please note that the 64 and Melee album include their stages music as well because before that no original tracks (without being remixed) were present in Smash games. This is not 100% the music of the games, it's only what's included in Ultimate's files.

All artworks were created by me. I re-created the font used for "ULTIMATE" and wrote "SOUNDTRACK", "64", "MELEE", "BRAWL and "3DS / WiiU with it for the purpose of uploads on my YouTube Channel and this release as well. The custom Ultimate logo in style of all the past versions of Smash was also made by me, I hope you enjoy it!

What was the point of converting lopus file into wav ?

Well if it isn't Vector Harbor himself.

I don't have a command to use foobar to directly convert to MP3 and never bothered to search for one, that aside I keep .wav files for myself since they're more manageable than .lopus or other vgm files for personal messing around and editing purposes. I'm not a lossless maniac so I don't really mind this process.

MP3 files are smaller as well so I can just share a release that's manageable by everybody.

Are you gonna add the new victory themes? Some of the reused ones are actually slightly different and if you want, you can download this to make it slightly easier. Thanks!

I'm strongly considering making a separate album for that, I'm still unsure. Also inside the games files you can find separate collections for 64, Melee, Brawl and For 3DS & WiiU music, which could be separate albums as well, and that way I could "finally" get rid of many duplicate albums I have around of Smash.

//

On an unrelated note this release is getting updated with all the proper arrangement/remix artists and re-sorted as well.

Is this not fully complete? I thought Ninty mentioned there being something like 40 castlevania tracks being included in the game alone? Or is most of that 40 just straight rips from the original games.

There are 34 Castlevania-related .lopus files in the game. There are 13 newly remixed songs and the other 21 are reused from other Castlevania soundtracks. This set only includes the 13 new ones.

Just like Akuma said, this includes only new remixes. Not all the Castlevania music added to the game is a re-arrangement made specifically for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a lot fo tracks are directly taken from the many Castlevania games. Same applies for every franchise.

Thanks so much for this! Has anyone seen a complete track listing identifying music from existing games (like the other 21 Castlevania songs)? I'm assuming every track that has ever appeared in Smash is there as well.

You don't really need to. All the current new arrangements and score has it's proper information already. All the past music has it's on own information that comes from the games themselves, you can find it on the ssbbwiki for example, since it's nothing "new". Same goes for non-arranged new tracks (like the Castlevania ones) since they have been around for long, we have known for a while who composed what for what game.

I was just looking for one for personal reference.
The wiki page I found does not have the original composers listed for any of the "original" tracks.

I'm thinking of working on sorting more smash tracks from the Ultimate soundtrack, specifically going with the music of past Smash games. All the music from 64, Melee, Brawl and 3DS/WiiU is present in the games files, so maybe I'll make a separate album for each?

Much like I made an exclusive album for Ultimate own music (Lifelight, Menu, Final Destination, Battefield, World of Light music, etc)

But I'm split between a small thing:

In the games raw files, 64 and Melee's music have their own stage music sorted with them, instead of putting the stage music of 64 and Melee with their own franchise files. When you sort through everything, in the files for the Super Mario Bros. series, 64 and Melee music is missing, because they are sorted with the 64 and Melee music files, respectively.

So I'm thinking maybe if I make an album with all te 64 music (Menu, Staff Roll, Bonus Stage, Chracter Selection Screen, etc) it would also include the music for the original 64 stages (instead of those stages being on the Super Mario Bros. series music album that would eventually be done)

It happens the same way for Melee, I skipped Melee because reason, but as far as I know it seems stages only had one music track associated only and under certain circumstances it would change, but not always, so it works in a very similar fashion.

Brawl and 3DS/WiiU work differently since there were several tracks that you could hear in one stage and sometimes in more than one, the files are sorted differently, all stages the music from Brawl, 3DS/WiiU and Ultimate are grouped by franchise within the game files, so what I'm thinking would be 4 separate albums:

64: All music: Main Theme, Menu, Stages, Bonus Stage, Character Selection Screen, Staff Roll, etc etc etc

Melee: All music: Main Theme, Menu, Menu 2, Stages, Staff Roll, etc etc etc

Brawl: Only original themes: Main Theme, Menu, Subspace Emissary, Staff Roll, etc, but no Stages music (unless it's Battefield, Final Destination, Multi-Man Smash, etc)

3DS/WiiU: Only 3DS/WiiU original themes, Main Theme, Menu, Smash Run, Smash Tour, Crazy & Master Orders, Staff Roll etc, but no Stages music (unless it's Battefield, Final Destination, Master Core, etc)

What do you guys think?

Why not just put everything in one album? After all, every piece of music (barring a dozen or so tracks) are in Ultimate.

Why not just put everything in one album? After all, every piece of music (barring a dozen or so tracks) are in Ultimate.

Because one album with 900 tracks would be quite insane to manage, so splitting it across different releases makes things easier for everyone. They are all under the Super Smash Bros. Soundtrack but one album with +900 tracks would be just very complicated. Plus the opportunity to finally have all the past smash music has presented itself, so I'm trying to come up with nice and interesting ways to sort the content.

Nintendo could have grouped fighters and stage by franchise, but they're doing it in the order they were added to the game; if they can shake things up and come up with a clever concept we welcome, so can we regarding the music as well. I'm tempted by my idea, I want other's feedback on it.

Not really an issue for this release I'm planning though, I won't provide flac files as they're a hassle to manipulate and more often than not the lossless aspect of is not justified. It would be MP3.

I admit it would be a really huge release, files size wise though.

I have an organized version of the Smash Bros for Wii U / 3DS soundtrack that includes all tracks and it is over 600 songs. It doesn't feel that bad to manage now that it's done. Each franchise is it's own disc, with some of the extra stuff grouped together.

I prefer this because it's still one album for the one game soundtrack.

As far as your release goes, you could always release it in multiple parts, but still have everything under the same album name and just keep the disc numbers sequential.

Just a thought. I'm interested in the project, whatever you end up doing.

Is it possible to get a list of the songs with the time lengths with them. Or is there a place that already has the listing. Since 3DS / Wii U Sound Test didn't loop for the vast majority of the songs. I was wondering if it was the same way in Ultimate.

Well that's kinda arbitrary, most if not all the songs in the game can loop endlessly (with a few exceptions, like Lifelight or the piano version of it). The sound file itself can loop, and when exporting it from the .lopus file you can choose how many times you want it to loop and then fade and so on. Unless they're officially released (like the Smash for 3DS & WiiU CD) I don't think there's a proper way to know the lenght of a track.

Actually, Lifelight and it's piano version do loop as an audio file, it just starts over and over. If the game player treats it that way or not is a mystery to me, the standard when exporting VMG seems to be 2 loops, 15-to-20 seconds fade out.

I understand very well that it is possible to loop the music. What I'm asking for is the official time stamps added along with the songs within the game itself. You see. In one of the Smash Directs (When explaining there'd be 800 songs.) There's a segment that shows a seek bar while playing the song. That's what I wanted to know.

As you can see here: Vs. Parasite Queen is 2:26

In one of the Smash Directs (When explaining there'd be 800 songs.) There's a segment that shows a seek bar while playing the song. That's what I wanted to know.

As you can see here: Vs. Parasite Queen is 2:26

I've revised my file for Vs. Parasite Queen, which is 2 loops and a fade out and it's 4:33, so I'm assuming this time stamp is for no loops, only one with a fade out. I don't know where we could get the information without actually having the game, I've got the audio dumps but not data files where we could possibly find all this, sorry :(

No worries. You've done a great job with the soundtrack! I'll have to wait till December for that info then. Thanks for your time and help!

I would be sooooo on board with the game-specific soundtracks. I've been looking for something like that forever. I have rips of Melee, Brawl, and Wii U/3DS and as great as they are, there are a bunch of duplicate tracks. Something like this would be incredible!

Nice thanks for the feedback; although keep in mind the Brawl and WiiU/3DS album would not include the Stages arrangement/tracks from those games, only 64 and Melee would! However eventually these would be completed with volumes per-franchise.

This is definitely helping easing the wait for the game! Thanks for the hard work!

Just have to say, this was excellent. And I would LOVE to have albums like this for each game. Would save a lot of ipod space to cut out all the duplicates.

Personally, I wouldn't care as much about separating things by franchise, I would want complete (original) soundtrack for each game. I.E., 64 and Melee having everything, Brawl having all its music but none of the reused stuff from Melee, 3DS/Wiiu have all of its music but none of the recycled stuff Melee and Brawl. You get the idea. It's just the time to go through all of it and get it organized is non existent.

That sorta the idea, none of the albums would have re-used stuff from past entries, however, the Brawl, 3DS/WiiU and Ultimate albums wouldn't include stages music, they're just too many and all hail from different origins, with Brawl they started introducing tracks without being remixes, so that's what sets a difference from 64 & Melee, from Brawl, 3DS/WiiU and Ultimate.

I also have to note that not *every* single track from 64, Melee, Brawl and 3DS/WiiU is present on Ultimate (not talking about stages, only score for the game itself), for example, in the 3DS/WiiU files grouping, stuff from Master & Crazy Orders is missing, and every entry had some tracks here and there left out. I'm not planning to manually add them for the sake of trying to only rely on the game's files instead of trying to assort something myself.

But yeah, the albums are pretty much done, I only have to sort them and create the artworks and they should go up eventually. Anyone know how to change the title of my topic?

Would you perhaps have made a list of the tracks from previous Smash games that did not get put in this one?
I'm asking out of curiosity and trying to organize my own collection.
I have not yet taken a close enough look myself to see which tracks were not included in the latest game.
Thanks.

Not really; but you can easily make a list comparing what IS inside ultimate, and heading over to SSBWiki and comparing the music for each entry/franchise, that's how I realized Brawl and 3DS/WiiU had stuff missing and what not. I'm almost done with the albums and artworks so they should be up in a day or so. If you really can't wait for it send me a PM and I'll show you the tracklist for each album.

Updated. Added all original music from past smash games. This doesn't includes stages (except for 64 and Melee). Total track number bumped to 266.

I'm interested in a full FLAC release with all 800+ tracks. If anyone can point me to one, perhaps with true lossless files and not just .lopus (if they exist!) I'd really appreciate it!

Hmm... these files are in the lopus format (if it is a valid format to being with) and cannot be converted to mp3... are the files corrupted in some way?

Would it be possible to get an album of the original songs that are new to Ultimate?

I mean, the songs that are included in Ultimate that are pulled directly from other games (not remixes) but that were not in a previous Smash game.

Some of the dungeon songs used in World of Light are missing like Temple of Light for example.

This, I mean I also want to save the crazy search for them all separately so this would be AMAZINGLY helpful.

Not new. It's taken from another game. It's not "Smash" music.

I have no plans of doing this, you're better of finding the game files dump and doing it yourself, it's a very specific thing you're asking for.
