Dream Collection Main Thread (Thread 222991)





After three months of on-and-off work, I'm excited to release my latest (and greatest) entry in the Dream Collection, The Jungle Book! Honest-to-God, this set is not only expanded but 100% COMPLETE and presented in authentic true stereo, thus making it the definitive Jungle Book soundtrack experience. Every second of music as heard in the film is here.
I've pushed my audio restoration abilities to the limit for this one, cleaning up every last second of music as much as possible. The results are well beyond anything I've done before. As such, I hope you all thoroughly enjoy this set, since it'll likely be the last for yet another while.

I'm also glad to announce that The Dream Collection will now be presented optionally in FLAC for all of you audiophiles out there. The only reason previous releases weren't also available in lossless was due to a mishap involving a flash drive and a cup of coffee...

Thank you for posting, but I've tried multiple extractors and I can't get this to open. I just keep getting an "unknown" message.

For those of whom that are experiencing issues with the RAR, which version are you trying to extract (MP3 or FLAC)? Let me know and I'll look into it.

EDIT: Well, I just finished downloading & extracting both versions myself. No problems. It sounds to me like you're using extractors that don't support RAR files, so please try WinRAR if you're getting strange errors. It's the software I use.

If you already use WinRAR and are still having trouble, download a newer version. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you.

Bad news, folks. The links have been taken down. I'm not sure what to do, since I already took so many measures to keep the contents of the encrypted files discreet.

Please be patient while I search for a solution... I can't guarantee that the files will be back up today or any time soon. I may simply upload them to YouTube as a compromise (unless that also gets a copyright strike).

I'm just guessing, but it seems to be an issue with the encryption. Maybe start over and create a new archive with just basic encryption and hope for the best?

Having just listened to your work on this score, I think you deserve a lot of praise for the obvious effort and excellent attention to tonal detail that shows throughout every second of your work. From someone who knows how hard and time consuming these endeavours can be, you should feel extremely happy that your dedication hasn't gone unnoticed and is indeed admired.

I appreciate the suggestions, but like I said, Trillium, I don't think that's the case, since I redownloaded the files from the public link and extracted them with no issues whatsoever. Again, I suggest using WinRAR (the software I use) -- it's free, and uses the latest encryption processes.
If you still encounter problems even after switching to WinRAR, then we can talk about other encryption methods.

But, of course, that's not the primary issue at hand here. I need to get the download business sorted out first.

I'm going to try uploading via several alternate methods tonight, so we'll see what happens. Fingers crossed.

Someone (not me, of course :-P ) has been uploading and sharing music and movies to https://www.uloz.to/ for several years, and have never had an item taken down.

Might be a viable alternative to MEGA...

This time, each "stage" of the encryption has a unique password.
Just copy and paste the following: the first password is "54T4RETGR4T54Y673Y7RG4YH3", the second is "JE8RJKW9RJ5NFMCJSJJF4Y73Y3U5FMJ3BN", and the final "J4H5N6N5JK4KH5J6BJ5K43BNM45T". I know it's a pain, but from what I've read this should help keep the contents of the RAR files under the radar of MEGA's fancy software.
I'll also update the OP in 24 hours with these links, once we know they won't get taken down again. For now, please enjoy!
