Better than nothing. Many thanks!

Yea, I wish some of the tracks in question I could have better tags for, and it doesn't help in a lot of cases the track names were blatantly wrong. Like I'm pretty sure the "Libra of Soul ~ Cutscene #" are mostly like the themes it has for each chapter's map theme along with some other oddities here and there. Again, if anyone wants to help out with helping fixing tags and whatnot I'll be open to suggestions either in this thread or in DMs, whichever your preference is. I'm somewhat under the assumption Bandai Namco won't have a proper OST for this til all the season pass content is out so... I'd like to try to make this as good as possible until then. Along with that, I'm currently in the process of uploading the FLAC version of the rip.

FLAC version has been uploaded. For future versions of this, I'm trying to decide whether or not I'm going to keep certain tracks that might be a bit redundant, like the "Libra of Soul versions" I have of several stages seem very minor as far as the track itself goes aside from the shorter opening and I think in the case of Hunt or Be Hunted from The Witcher 3 there wasn't any changes done at all, along with them I might axe the SoulCalibur 1 tracks just because I don't think there's enough substantial difference than their OST counterparts, but that ultimately depends if overall people want to keep them there for completions sake or not. I'm probably going to try to get some of these tracks tagged better too and I'll have a revised track list below the standard one for anyone who wants to update their tags, and I'll keep everything in the same order until there's been a substantial enough change to reorder and reupload this OSV as a V2 I suppose and then after that hopefully I'll be able to update this OSV frequently as the DLC comes out, but we'll see when the time comes as far as that goes.

Thank you very much to all, Naldrag, Sectus and good old NamcoMusicCenter for the effort :)

I am over the moon right now! :D

EDIT: I must tell you, all the "Themes of" are wrongly tagged. This is for CD5 (Soul Chronicles):

Incorrect name -> Intended theme

Theme of Azwel -> I'd swear it's Maxi (track is "Standing Against the Storm")
Theme of Soul Edge -> Xianghua (hey look if it isn't the leitmotif of "Hubris")
Theme of Groh -> Soul Edge (track that appears multiple times while being explained of Soul Edge and I'd dare say Schwarzsturm)
Theme of Maxi -> ???
Theme of Kilik -> ???
Scenario ~Creation -> Theme of Azwel (this is the one heard during his story mode and at the end of his trailer) (I must note the guy has Inferno's leitmotif but I can't understand why)
Scenario ~Unknown -> Groh's theme (leitmotif from The Lionhearted and Nameless Ordeal is at full force here)
Soul Chronicle: Unknown 1 -> Prologue: Soul Edge (Soul Edge recap + SC intro, right as it tells of how Soul Edge comes into Siegfried's hands)
Soul Chronicle: Unknown 2 -> The Evil Seed (when Siegfried picks up Soul Edge and the Pillar of Ruin unleashes the Evil Seed)

Unsure on "Unknown 3 -> 5", but I'd dare say it's "Kilik vs Groh" for the 3rd, "Kilik and Xianghua vs Nightmare" for the 4th, final cutscene (the Shattering of Soul Edge) for the 5th (Kilik resisting Inferno, Xianghua slashing through Inferno), so basically each one being a cutscene from Chronicles.

CD4 also has mixed tracks: There is the Soul Chronicle Timeline menu there. But it's on CD2 too and correctly tagged? *shrugs*

No idea on the rest, unfortunately.

EDIT 2: Added more above. Also I see someone credited as the artist, but it's not who it should be, who is Junichi Nakatsuru (the freaking legend) until further notice, at least :P

Hey, thanks for this, first of all.
I am curious about how you managed to combine multiple tracks into one, though.
There are two versions of "Hunt or be Hunted" for Geralt, from Sectus' upload (10 files total) and I'd like to have them without the female voice we can hear from the second half to the end of the song (it's a separate track each time, easy to target).
For reference, also I already have foobar2000 and the VGMStream plugin:

Thanks for these, I'll start getting to work on setting up list soon, and I guess the Soul Chronicle Timeline menu was just in the raw files twice? I did originally have Junichi Nakatsuru tagged for the composer, but the credits in the game label him as the sound director, while Yukihiro Jindo was credited as the composer so I'm probably just going to stick with that for now. Either way, both people are more than capable composers. Anyway for reference the raw files are labeled like quite a mess, so a lot of their filenames being straight up wrong isn't too shocking. For reference though, I posted a text list below, and if there's anything else you think can be fixed just let me know. It's definitely a big help.

For the tracks that has multiple layers to them I threw them into Audacity and rendered them out as wavs that way, removing the vocals shouldn't be too hard to do.

Thanks, I found my way to Audacity and it was easy, I initially expected to be able to do everything with foobar2000 for some reason, haha.

Yea, it's not too hard. I did end up uploading a patch including vocalless versions of those tracks though for other people who might be interested.

Revised tracklist has been updated with the tracks I'm considering on removing tagged as such, and I revised my tag system to make it easier to edit. Also Disc 4-6 have just been entirely tagged in with tag revisions being noted in the case of discs 4 and 5, and considered removal for disc 6. Any input on these suggestions is welcome and make cases on why these tracks should be cut or left in.

Nah, don't remove Disc 6 if it's part of the game itself.

Well it was in the games files, but I don't think there's anyway to access them in game just yet, but if SoulCalibur VI is like 4 and 5 it's probably safe to assume music DLC will be added somewhere down the line. It'd just be kinda crappy and bizarre on-disc DLC if that's the case for the first SoulCalibur but out of the tracks I was considering on removing those were the least likely since they are still unique enough to the soundtrack.

Oh, now that you're saying that, the DLC music for SoulCalibur IV was the same stuff from Disc 6.

Seventeen tracks from SoulCalibur.

Digging more into this and there are a lot of duplicates in this soundtrack, so I'm going to be doing some busy work today and try to get this a bit more optimized, I ended up tagging some more stuff to be removed already and at this rate by the time I'm done it might be cut in half. For now I'm going to keep the original SoulCalibur tracks off the chopping block, they're fairly inoffensive. The front post has been updated with a more detailed list of tracks that are duplicates and will be removed from the next release.

TL;DR: Whoops the original release is a bit of a mess.

EDIT: The Libra of Souls tracks that was debating on I'm going to keep them in, but I'm going to edit them to play once before fading out.

V2 of this OSV release has been finished and barring maybe some minor issues with the scenario track titles is something I'm pretty satisfied with. Considerable more editing was also done for some additional polish I guess one could say? It might not be anything too noticeable though. :P Anyway here we are a week later with a product that I think is considerably better than the original release and will probably be the final version until the 2B DLC releases later this year or early next year. There's still like a few tracks I'm a bit iffy on placement and tagging wise but it's nothing that's a huge deal I don't think. For the time being, I hope everyone enjoys it until Bandai Namco puts out an official release.

A couple of minor things to point out:
- Healing Winds in SC2 is based on Going To Where The Wind Blows from SC1. It would be more fitting to refer to that song than Healing Winds.
- There was an interview with Junichi Nakatsuru some weeks ago which clarified some things about the music and who made it:
- Junichi Nakatsuru composed Under A Pledge (random trivia: this is the only song which is a fully remake of a song from a previous game, that being Wings Of Faith from SC1).
- All of the stage music (except for Witcher stage music) was made in-house by Namco. So that means rest of the music was composed either by Namco's composers or Yukihiro Jindo from DIMPS. Witcher stage music is a song taken directly from the Witcher series.

Here's the vid you're referring to by Kayane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVAwy9LLE6k

As for the Museum track: I think the fairest thing would be to give it its own name, but until we get an official tracklist we can only call it "Museum". Fun fact: Going Where the Wind Blows has been traditionally included in Path of Destiny if I am not mistaken.

Also since we're going a bit detailed: Xianghua's theme has HUBRIS's leitmotif, yes, but it's not because it is Hubris: It's because Hubris includes a leitmotif for the Ming Empire -- Hubris is a more dramatic take because it takes place on a fight in a Ming Empire city after a raid by the Emperor*, Xianghua's theme is more relaxed because it's a bit more... "regal"? Maybe we should rename to something related to Xianghua being related to the Dynasty and part of the Imperial party sent to seek Soul Edge?

*SCII Hubris Stage lore:

Xiwei, positioned near the west border of the Ming Empire, was a vital stronghold for maintaining the empire's western territories. Tragically, when the Emperor believed the castle was hiding the Hero's Sword from him, he dispatched an army to seize the castle. Ultimately, the citadel was destroyed. Sadly, the army failed to find the sword in the rubble of the stronghold. Was Soul Edge, known in this region as the Hero's Sword, really at Xiwei? Or was this place destroyed due to a misunderstanding? No one can answer these questions now.

EDIT: Turns out Hubris/Ming dynasty is first used in "Bloom and Harvest" in SC1. We all failed to recognize it, shame on us :P And actually Xianghua's theme on this game uses that (Bloom and Harvest) as base. So yup. Falls in line with Kilik using "The New Legend" and Maxi "Standing Against the Storm", as well as Groh's "The Lionhearted" plus "Nameless Ordeal".

Also, I'd swear very strongly the Main Menu tracks should be named after the Astral Clock in the background... Perhaps the Story modes are "Sun" or "Dawn", the Battle Modes "Eclipse" or "Day" and the Museum and Options "Moon" or "Night"?

Went ahead and updated the museum track to reflect Going To Where The Wind Blows instead of Healing Winds and aside from the tracks from the original SoulCalibur, Under A Pledge, and Hunt or Be Hunted I just credited all the tracks as "Junichi Nakatsuru, Yukihiro Jindo, SOULCALIBUR VI Sound Team" as I figure that might be the best way to go around it until a more specific composer/artist list comes out with the OST.

As far as the Main Menu tracks all the backgrounds are either between dawn to early evening so I guess until there's a more specific title for them just left them as referencing what item is selected on the menu.

I appreciate the concern, but yea I'm fine. Just a lot of IRL drama that kinda killed my motivation on multiple things I was working on, I bring good news though... I have officially updated the OSV today with a reordered / retagged soundtrack a long with the addition of the tracks from Soul Edge / Soul Blade included, and I think unless the next DLC character which is presumably going to be Cassandra has music or if the next armor pack includes music this should be the final release.

General Changes
Disc 1
This disc has been resorted to reflect the museum selection for SC6's tracks with City Ruins: Soul being placed before Chaos Eclipse because that seemed like an odd choice of placement in the museum.

Disc 2
This disc now has all the Short and Reversal Edge tracks along with the vocalless version of Hunt or Be Hunted and the instrumental of Emil's Shop.

Disc 3 & 4
Retagged the tracks that have remixes of SoulCalibur tracks in the story mode to be in standard case rather than in all caps, aside from that there's no changes.

Disc 5
All SoulCalibur tracks have been retagged to in standard case and also has the stages these tracks were originally from added and the Soul Edge / Soul Blade tracks were added after the SoulCalibur tracks.

No problem, and that situation has pretty much resolved. I do have to apologize on the delay of the release of the Soul Edge / Soul Blade expansion though.

A bit off topic but I'm probably going to work on updated versions of my Metal Sonic Hyperdrive / Metal Sonic Rebooted OSVs. Hyperdrive probably being a lot more expansive than the Rebooted update and I might do a Sonic Megamix OSV? ROM hacks are a bit odd I know, but I think it's fun. :X

Well, I spoke too soon, lol. Whenever I get around to it, I'm going to make two separate versions of this OSV, with just the normal OSV and an expanded OSV which will include the tracks from Soul Blade through SoulCalibur III. ETA is the end of May or early June, just depending on how my schedule works out.

The final version of this OSV has been uploaded, the changes are as follows:
- Decided to remove tracks from Soul Edge and SoulCalibur for consistency reasons as they're roughly the same as the versions from their respective OSTs anyway.
- Tracks have been renamed and reordered to reflect the OST and it's too much to list for a changelog.
- 20th Anniversary Movie track was removed as it's mostly just other tracks thoughout the series with no special arrangements done anyway.
- Tracklist consists of 99 tracks spanning over 5 discs.

You can download the final version of the OSV here:

MEGA MP3: https://mega.nz/#!mVERBKyQ!i4R2wEMZxIVBKRa6RgihmA5Kjx3y4YKl1GS1qnvYhIk

The first post has also been changed to have these new downloads.

All this said, I would like to announce some future projects I am working on for "Naldrag's VGM Oddities"
- Puyo Puyo 1-4 Extended Soundtracks
- Ys I~V Extended Soundtracks
- Metal Sonic Hyperdrive OSV V2
- Metal Sonic Rebooted OSV V2
- Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix OSV

I think that's about it, enjoy and hopefully someone will have the FLAC version of SoulCalibur VI's OST up soon. Also, I'll hopefully have some newer stuff out soon.
