Could anyone share this, please? Anything but huge SACD files.

A friend of mine has a physical copy of this SACD. That would be a EMI release if I remember correctly.
I could borrow it if you did not find it yet, however it will take me about a week to get it.

That would be very, very kind of you.

Ok I'm sorry my friend has looked for the bloody disc for the last three weeks now and can't find it anymore. He assumes he lend it and never got it back in the first place. Since it is a rather old disc he barely listens to, he would possibly have never realized it was gone if we had not looked at this thread in the first place...

So, a quick google search allowed me to find a few websites to get this release easily. Simply remember that EMI is now owned by Warner, and that your first post misleads me, the release you originally asked was never edited in SACD. You may want to look at a Russian website commonly mentioned in this forum for instance.

As I feel bad for keeping you waiting for about a month, please allow me to recommend a very fine recording. I strongly suggest you consider conductor Antal Dorati whom made two very fine recordings with London Symphony and Concertgebouw Orchestra. If you are not familiar with the work or this conductor, you should expect being a bit taken aback by the London one. Pace is very fast and engaging. In the second recording however, Dorati was closer to the end of his life and at this age he had a very different approach to rhythm and pacing. Both would make a very fine choice as a strong warhorse in the Nutcracker's immense discography.

Wow, thank you for the reply! And no worries, I appreciate all your work and will certainly look into that conductor.

Turns out you were right, that release was given a SACD treatment from Warner Japan: https://www.hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=7364
My mistake, I was under the impression that release had been cancelled.
