It doesn't need to be remade. You'll be able to play it in its original form on the PS3 already. It's a wonderful game as it is; remaking it would only add unnecessary flash that distracts from the actual game. It's already hurt by the excessive use of flashy 3D effects and annoying FMVs. I think if they redid it in PS3 graphics, I'd start to hate it.

yeah there is no need to recreate the exact game with beter graphics. FF6 is imo a better game and 2 dimensional game and I wouldnt even want that redone cuz theres no need. The story is in the original game, the gameplay is in the original game, if you want to spend 50 dollars to see clould look good just wait for advent children.

graphics doesn't really matter in the game. as long as the story is good. there is no need for ff7 remake just because for good fmvs. just like lexie said, it's good as it is.

As much as I love the game as it is, I have to say I was awestruck by the new graphics, I'd love to play a PS3 version of game to see what other scenes/Magic/Summons look like

I agree with this, a remake would be perfect, the summons would look better and magic also!!, Final Fantasy 7 was a great game and should be remade!

i think it would be a good thing i'd love to play it again with better graphics. im such a fan-boy i don't really care about the price(too much) i would still shell out probably. plus the thought of Mr.T in a 3-d model makes me chuckle.

id say if they were gonna remake it at all, at least they should wait another 2 years and remake it as an anniversary edition. that way they could update the graphics, add in bonus features, and show ff7 to a whole new generation of gamers

Uh, FFVII has been out for over 8 years now. If it hasn't 'faded away' in that time frame, there is no chance it will fade away anytime soon; especially with all these spin-offs. All the fanboys who view it as a classic, will grow up over the next few years, thus losing interest in the game. And thus, more immature kids will come along claiming it to be the greatest game ever, simply because they don't know better and have absolutely no clue why they like the game in the first place.

FF7 was my first FF still don't see it as good as some of the others like FF6, why is it we don't see FF6 remake threads, because a bunch of people commented on FF7 and brainwashed a bunch of FF\rpg-newbs, Don't remake FF7 im happy enough for advent children, dirge of cerberus also caught my attention little.

FFVII is the game responsible for bringing gaming into mainstream and making 3D games popular. So it is indisputably one of the most important games ever. Also, the PS3 is gonna be awesome. Nintendo fanboys/ whores are just angry that the Revolution is kinda lackluster.

Right- it's not the greatest game ever. Maybe it was when it came out, but it's been outdone many times over in the 8 years that have passed. Check out Star Ocean 3. An excellent RPG title with good graphics (maybe not quite the best) and with an epic storyline and a galaxy to explore. It outdoes FFVII.

I'm actually very curious to see what you think on subjects other than Final Fantasy games.

I think the original final fantasy 7 is a classic, but i do want to see a remake of it with better graphics, because in my opinion ff7 probably had the best storyline =)

It`s a "claasic" for many people. For me it`s a classic. It`s was very important to me, very personal, and the reason why i want to work in the games industry.

Yeah square enix managed to stuff 10-2 up pretty nicely, i mean what the hell happened to the blitzball.

Its almost like a Championship Manager spin-off.I mean it aint a bad game, but it just doesnt feel like an RPG imo.

As far as I'm concerned we do NOT need a remake of FFVII. So what if the graphics have improved over the past 7-8 years since it's release? Big deal. It wouldn't be the same without Hironobu Sakaguchi being involved with it. However, that won't happen because he hasn't worked for Square (Since he was fired a couple of years ago that is), and is too busy with his own development company.

Apart from that, I will give FFVII credit where it is due. It is mainly responsible for bringing the RPG genre out from the niche market it had been in since it's creation.

Knowing Square Enix, they'd inevitably stuff it up somehow. As far as I'm concerned, FFVII is complete as it is, and doesn't need a remake. Remakes never really do as well as the original version.

sure i love all final fantasies but 7 is my favorite. if SE could keep the game's storyline the same and add additional side quests it would be nice. i would like to see it all in better graphics. like FF7AC graphics

Why don't they wait until two or three years after the full "FF7 Compilation" is realeased to remake it? Because then they could remake it for ps3 and sell it in one big 150$ box set and then wait a few months to release it by itself.

Pff, Noor will probably get his wish...Square-Enix are always giving the fanboys what they want. People asked for more FF7 and look what square-enix do...all these new games and movies coming out with it...they'll remake FF7 eventually...probably for the 10th anniversary.
