Hmmm the original midis played back with Creative SB128 PCI (Ensoniq banks) sound way better than the recordings on this CD... I can upload a few examples or make a release if anyone's interested.

The synth I mentioned renders midis more interesting and lively compared to CD version - that's why I said "better". Actual sound quality may not stand up to audiophile standards since the wavetables are 22 kHz from '98.

(couldn't find tracks 34, 36, 37 and 42, are the rest are there)
Some parts do not play correctly (e.g. the beginning of track 1), but overall this is more listenable than the CD, I think.

Let me know if you'd like the entire gamerip recorded with the same synth (643 files / 28 hours of music).

An audiophile version of this music kinda defeats the purpose of the Old School thing. If you're looking for better sounding versions, might as well go for the Orchestral Collection, which Myrkul posted as well.
