There's also The LEGO Batman Movie, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The LEGO Ninjago Movie and Annabelle: Creation as possibilities if it is mainly WB 2017 blockbusters

I actually do agree with DAK that BR2049 isn't a blockbuster, but not for the reasons he's stated. With the way it's paced, structured, and the manner in which it tells its story, it simply never was gonna appeal to mainstream audiences. Especially when the original film is still technically a niche thing to many, despite it's cultural significance. Not to mention that WB/Sony have poured more money onto other projects, so it's not the biggest thing they've made. You can still think of it as such, but the end result is more likely to be considered an epic than a proper blockbuster.

Hunter I think you’re confused. I know this is the BR2049 thread but we’re talking about how Justice League isn’t a blockbuster. But since you mentioned it, I don’t consider BR a blockbuster either. That doesn’t make it not an amazing film though. I regret not seeing it in IMAX 3D on the same screen I saw Dunkirk, RPO and TDK (which is tonight btw :D) on.

Oh BR2049 in IMAX was mind blowing (3D was useless tho) but it looked gorgeous filling that 1.90:1 IMAX screen. Obviously the best part was the sound. Sea Wall never sounded better.

I entered the theater while the credits were rolling (from the previous screening) so I had the chance to listen to the end credits twice :D And I sat till the very last second of the credits to enjoy the music which I always do with Zimmer (and co.)

I saw BR2049 for the first in IMAX then in Atmos which was decent and in regular 2D which was terrible lol. Something in the theater was shaking (probably couldn't handle all that low end)
I regret not making the trip to see it in IMAX again :(

Dunkirk was incredibly loud in IMAX! (saw it 3 times in IMAX Xenon + 2 times in regular 2D).
