Unfortunately, your cue sheet doesn't work correctly for me. I created a .cue file using it, and three different programs created different errors with it. MusicBee refused to recognize it at all, and two different MP3-splitting programs malfunctioned in different ways in the last few tracks.

I downloaded the portable MusicBee and was able to run it with an emulator (Linux here) time enough between crashes to check that out. You're right, drag and drop of the .cue file doesn't work, but if you add the .mp3 file to the library and then play it, it will detect and show the tracks from the companion .cue:

It's no surprise that the splitting programs don't like the file, because it's very simple. They may need the pre-gap information (INDEX 00), that is missing, or maybe the WRITER is not expected, but I'm not sure. It's interesting that in one of those cases, the problem appeared in the last entries only. If you feel curious, you can inspect the last correct entry and the next one to find out the difference: maybe there is some symbol, for example, a parenthesis, that should be properly quoted, or perhaps the time format was not right, if the parser expected hours+minutes and not minutes only in the second hour. Another possibility, if you intend to cut the file, is to copy the times and titles from this one to a .cue sheet that works well in that program.

It doesn't work that way either. It refuses to detect the mp3 when the .cue is in the same folder as it.

EDIT: I removed the REM at the very end of the cue sheet and replaced it with a blank line (because I had looked at the contents of another .cue file, which didn't have the REM), and this caused one of the splitting programs to be able to split the file correctly.

So, the difference may be either the program version (bugs happen) or the cue sheet. I'm sending you a PM, because I'm curious to compare your .cue file with mine.

The REM, indicator of comment and in principle harmless, being a problem for a program that uses .cue files is indeed a surprise. Thanks for the info, I'll edit that.

Update: the problem for Beechcott was in the .cue sheet's last line: the REM that I added precisely to prevent errors from having the last INDEX line terminated without new line character[s]. That happens because the forum software deletes the trailing empty new lines inside CODE tags; and I thought that a final comment would be immune, but not every program behaves the same.

Following the instruction at the new bottom line fixes that.
