Michael Praed, television's most memorable Robin Hood, returns to the greenwood to present a special Friday Night Is Music Night 'The Swashbucklers!'. The sixty piece BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Richard Balcombe will cut and thrust their way through some of the greatest film scores ever written for the swordsmen of the silver screen. Including Erich Wolfgang Korngold's 'Robin Hood' and 'The Sea Hawk'; Alfred Newman's 'Zorro'; Hans Zimmer's 'Pirates of the Caribbean'; John William's 'Indiana Jones' and 'Star Wars'; and Howard Shore's 'Lord of the Rings'. Classical repertoire includes Tchaikovsky's 'Romeo and Juliet'; Khachaturian's 'Spartacus' and, as used in the Russell Crowe film 'Master and Commander', Boccherini's String Quintet in C Major. Michael wll also read extracts from the high adventure novels including 'Captain Blood', 'The Sea Hawk' and 'The Three Musketeers' ...
