Here is my edit for Amadeus. In honor of Milos Forman. The tracks are film versions, so edited how they are played in the film. I hope you enjoy!

Found your old thread :D

Thread 219381

Yeah, I've grabbed this film mix too. I have yet to take a listen, though this is one of my favorite movies.

Which version does this film mix follow? The Theatrical version or the Director's Cut?

Track 6 does not have the film ending. I made my own edit years ago that I can share when I can dig it up again.

Personally, if one needs to do a proper film mix, one needs these:

The official Original Soundtrack
The "More Music" Soundtrack (if you want better sound, the Gold "Director's Cut" CD might be best for you)
The Isolated Score track from the first DVD issue (not sure if the Director's Cut blu-ray has the isolated score).

The Isolated Score track has no sound effects and has the English "Der Hlle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen" (Queen of the Night aria) from Die Zauberflte (The Magic Flute).

Updated link to film version of track 6: http://www.mediafire.com/file/6wmkqmetni03eu7/amadeus.wav

This was compiled from the album version and the isolated score. Up until the last third it's the album, and the rest is the isolated score when it starts to diverge from the actual piece. Is anyone sure of what that is from or if it's an original piece made for the film? It transitions so well, it blows my mind that it didn't continue like that in the actual piece but such is the magic of movie music. In my edit, the jump is noticeable due to the downmix from 5.1 and mixing of the album but I did this on the fly years ago so I can fine tune it later.

UPDATE:
I have acquired the dvd with the isolated score and made a new Complete score. All tracks are now confirmed Film Versions (with some additional cues ripped or tracked from the Director's Cut DVD). I have included the full pieces found in the 2CD Collectors Edition, as well as some of the ripped cues from my earlier edit containing SFX as bonus cues. The complete edition is long, almost 7 hours on 6 CD's, so I have made an expanded edition that is shorter: the film cues plus a few additional bonus cues, just about two hours or so and on 2 CD's. I might make cover art for this but haven't gotten to it yet. So here is the updated AMADEUS score. Enjoy.

@jedisaurus - which tracks/cues in the film mix contains the music from the Director's Cut?

Track 7 of the film edit still does not have the film ending. With you having the isolated score in hand, I wonder what happened there. It sounds like the regular composition with an awkward fade-out at the end instead of transitioning to the film ending to give it a proper close.

:this:

Is it really the isolated score? Don’t mean to offend but just being honest: it sounds like a really bad edit you’d find on YouTube. Not an isolated score. If anyone has the lossless file of the full isolated track, I’d be happy to take a stab at it.

I just listened to the track on my itunes and the folder. Its definitely the film version. In the Isolated score it fades just like that. I watched the film just to make sure as well. Its correct. Besides, I recorded the audio from the isolated score and edited out the tracks. In the film the cue does not have a proper close as Mozart rips the sheet away while Salieri is reading it, hence the quick fade out.

We’re not on the same page here. It’s the cue when they start the concert before Mozart can arrive, not when Salieri is going through Mozart’s music. I realize the music cuts off in that scene but not the earlier scene. It’s track 7 “Started without Me”.

Yup, I made it one cue. Im sorry I am not sure what you mean. I just re-watched the scene with the original audio, then the isolated score audio. Its the same as the track I made, it fades in the same way at the end when we flash forward to old salieri saying "that, THAT was mozart!!" But in your experience of the scene, how should the cue end? That modified ending is not on the CD album and I had to record the audio from the DVD to get it in my first edition. It was present in the isolated score so I just recorded that straight, no editing required except for the silent parts.
