I haven't played this yet, but the tone of the OST is amusing. I mean, they used to have JunkieXL do remixes for this series; this new soundtrack sounds like they should have called up Enya for a guest track, haha.

Every indication is that Bear's blog entry on the game (coming out in a few days) will include those.

I find the melody in Memories of mother (and in several following tracks) very similar to the one in The Call of Destiny by Bill Brown. As a result, I can't stop thinking about Lineage 2 while listening to the God of War soundtrack. This annoying similitude notwithstanding, a beautiful soundtrack.

lots of music seems to be missing from this official release... I was searching for the elf theme which incidentally was the only thing I found to be interesting in the soundtrack, honestly the music is a bit boring for me, McCreary's best work imo was BSG because it sounded so unique with all the percussion instruments.
