The one benefit I see to it coming out on the X-Box, is that Microsoft might simultaneously release it on PC.

Sam & Max is one of the best games ever made.
Thing is, the new one won't be no where near as good as the old one. It will be 3D for a start, which didn't really work with the last Monkey Island game. Second, it's a console game, so we can probably expect some crappy 'Tomb Raider' type platform.
They should make it just for PC, like it originally was. Ah, I loved that game. Shame I can't play it anymore. It's so old my computer won't play it. :(

how happy was I when I heard of this game months ago? but end your celebration. Its not an adventure game. Its a space action game of some kind. Why would the cops go to space? who knows. Why wouldn't they be in another adventure game? who knows.

reeks of a popular license deal and certainly I don't expect it to be anything near the quality of the previous game.

I think the old Sam and Max game on the PC is one of the greatest adventure games ever made. In the old style I loved with Day of the Tentacle and the like.

however, I don't think this new game will live up to it. The similarities appear to be only the characters, and presumably the humor, but its not even going to be an adventure game. Or thats what I read when I first heard about it.

I'll check it out, but honestly, I'm not expecting much.

Nothing could touch the old one. It was just so funny and clever,a nd the cartoon stlye (Also used in D.O.T.T, Full throtle etc) jsut looked so good. The only 3D adventure game which I enjoyed was Grim Fandango. That was hilarious.
I don't have high expectations for this game at all. :(
