Did you order this from iam8bit? I got the email last week. It was tempting but I decided to pass. Not familiar with the music, would have gotten it simply for the nostalgia and cause it looked nice. Glad I passed.

I got the Megatron variant from Enjoy The Toons. Kind of wish I had gotten the Prime and Bumblebee as well, but I wanted to give more people an actual shot at getting it.

It's due to the analog nature of Vinyl. It's a physical medium as opposed to a digital one, so it tends to be victim of any dust or particles in the air.

Awesome! I always remembered a few tunes from watching the S1 Shout DVDs I had. I was always a bigger fan of the music from the movie, but these tunes are certainly good as well. I do wish this has a digital release soon, but I suppose being released first on vinyl makes sense. In any case, I can't wait to dig into this!

Unfortunately the opening theme si different form the original as heard on TV: it's a new remix without "robot effect" on the voices. What a pity.
I will not buy and probably I will not listen to it again this album. Very disappointed

I kinda figured that's what I was hearing. Must be why on some record players there's a cover over it. It makes sense, but it's still a very good rip.

Some tracks have a very noticeable "popping" effect sprinkled throughout it. It's not a very overt sound, but one to pick up on if you start listening to vinyl rips. It gives the rip a little personality, I think. Some people just aren't tuned enough to hear the popping. I dunno, maybe I'm weird.

The Opening Theme is the version recorded before the vocoder effects were added. The rest of the tracks are PHENOMENAL though.

The season 3 tracks don't work for me at all. Of course the only tracks I give a damn about.

A lot of those season 3 tracks were also used in the GI JOE Movie. I noticed the themes from the beginning when Pythona infiltrates the terrordrome, and the track where duke "died" with a different ending.

Thank you for posting this!!! It was a quick sellout and pretty hard to get from what I understand. Too bad there's no plan to release this digitally or on CD though. A real shame. But thank you for taking the time to rip the vinyl for us!

Sad the themesong is diifferent, the vocals seems to be studio placeholders, using whoever was in the studio at the time during the original recording, the original vocal track is probably long gone, but atleast their are high quality CD releases of it (very rare) and original LP releases

I'm a bit of an amateur, as this is my first foray with vinyl. I'll start tooling around in Audacity to try to make it a bit cleaner.

"The Opening Theme is the version recorded before the vocoder effects were added" that isnt true, it has the vocoder already for the "robots in disguise" parts, the vocals however are not what was used for the tv series, before anyone sais its a track before they recorded it, thoes vocals for the tv version go back to early 84, before the launch of the series, the voclas where recorded for the commercials, and that theme was intended for use when the tv series was being produced (here's a sample of the original intended opening ) However it did not make the cut, Thoes vocals where reused and a new instrumental theme was written, the vocals used on the LP release are probably placeholders or someone made a mistake when remastering and picked out the wrong tapes. if you want a high quality version of the TV theme, get the original LP release or a VERY expensive CD release (ive forgotten the name, but the last time i checked the CD goes for over 200$)

For anyone who's interested in owning a vinyl copy of this album, Enjoy The Ride is reissuing it (in new colors) this Friday, July 6th.

I want to thank Heatermania for ripping the vinyl (I've done the same with my copy & was debating uploading mine) and also Crunch75 for doing what he could to clean up the audio. I've gone back several times to my own rip & done my best to amp it up & get it sounding more full & "complete", but there's really only so much that can be done when the rip is done without a preamp. I'm assuming Heatermania's rip was done the same way mine was, since they both sound very similar, only the static & clicks are different, really.

SO... what I'm asking now is: Has anyone done a "proper" rip of this album with the right equipment? I've heard many vinyl rips that sound just as clear and full as digital audio formats.
