After months of patiently waiting the guys over at HCS forums have finally uploaded the ripped files from Xenoblade 2, no longer do we have to make due with poor quality Youtube rips.

I have went into the files and changed any tags that I believed wrong, as well as adding artists to each song, however this is just so that it looks nice as I do not know who composed each song outside of the information in the official Sound Selection, I have tried to tag the artists based on the Sound Selection information as well as from previous work in Xenoblade 1 and some guess work here and there.

This rip comes in the form of Three discs and are as follows:

Disc 1 is for Location and Battle Music

Disc 2 is the Cut-scene Music

Disc 3 is for Jingles

If I have made any mistakes let me know and I will try to fix them

EDIT: NEW DOWNLOAD 2.0

2.0 Has some re numbered tracks and fixed composer credits thanks to PaladinZ

Were the original raw to lossless?. Or lossy (mp3) to lossless?.

The composers for each track can be found here. It's funny because this was found yesterday and the game got ripped today if I'm not mistaken (just in time for the NG+ update to be delayed!). Good work on the OSV, and be sure to check out the one I did for XCX if you're interested. =)

Thanks very much! I went through this, comparing it to the official track name and composer list up above and did a whole bunch of retagging. The good news is that this is complete, all 121 pieces! You do have some incorrect placements if you want to separate the tracks by Cutscene/Battle/Jingles, though.

(For instance, Praetor Amalthus is a battle theme and should be in Folder 1.)

They were the raw source files converted to Wav for my personal use and then FLAC for the OSV

Looking forward to it. And I'm sure people would appreciate an Mp3 link as well, just for convenience. Not all music players support Flac, sadly.

The original files were 96kbps Nintendo Opus that Moosehunter (one of the team members from SmashCustomMusic/BrawlBRSTMs3 X) provided :)

(fwiw, Opus is the switch’s native audio format as it’s hardware decoded)

You can downsample the flac files with converters like LAME

When I try to open it, after downloading, it says "Archive is either an unknown format or damaged". Note that it's a .rar and that I'm trying to use Winrar to open it.

EDIT: Nevermind. It worked with 7zip.

Sure. The Google Doc listed above is generally accurate as the types of pieces are grouped together. 2-40 are all cutscene pieces, 42-43 are the two songs, 44-76 are all field themes (with the possible exception of 50). 77-90 are battle themes. After that, there's a bunch of random field and cutscene pieces which are mostly harder for me to place. 91 is cutscene, 92 is the mercenery theme, 93-97 are all field themes, 97-103 are cutscene, 105 is the gacha theme. The rest are the jingles.

Thanks man! :D

I'm having problems downloading the FLAC files because my Chromebook can't handle over 2.5 GB. Can someone create separate FLAC files for Disc 1, Disc 2, and Disc 3?

@ParadoxVela thank you for sharing it anyways. I'll wait for the separate links whenever possible.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! Finally!!! Probably one of the best video game soundtracks I've heard in a while. Now to spam all the ANUNA songs lol...

I wish they wouldn't hold onto the soundtrack for this long and just release it officially!

Xenoblade 2 Official Soundtrack to be released on May the 23th (Japan)

I managed to sneak an order in for one of the Type A packages earlier. It is limited to 2,000 pieces.

- USB memory stick (core crystal shape) w/serial number inscription
- 126 tracks on memory stick (105 main game, 16 jingles, 5 piano arrangements) (48khz/24bit wav)
- Premium box/120p premium booklet
- Piano score of the title theme "Where We Use To Be"/「在りし日のふたり」
- Message card

As I understand it, formats across versions are as follows:

- USB core crystal edition (48khz/24bit wav)
- Limited and regular CD editions (Type B and Type C respectively), iTunes (44.1khz/16bit)
- Hi-Res Digital (96khz/24bit)

I believe the number of tracks included in Type A and Type B are identical, with Type C (regular CD edition) only containing the 105 main game tracks.

I hope to bring the core crystal edition to FFShrine shortly after its release in May.

Thanx for this rip, that's amazing!!

Thanks for the upload, it was very nice of you to do it. That being said, I can't open the file, says its not a RAR file that can be opened. I'm using 7zip, any suggestions on how to get around this?
