This isn't the usual question that I ask but I think a Final Fantasy party reflects a person. I usally start off using, Cloud, Aeris and Cid. But later, I usally use Vincent insted of Aeris. Another good person I use is Red XIII bucause of his limits because they rock. It's hard to say but It works out that;
Aeris shows you love
Barrett shows stregnth
Cid is a wise ass
Vincent shows you have something you hide
Tifa if your a guy you like her body:D or a girl you are a feminest
Yuffie you are a trickster
Cait Sith, well I donno, I hate Cait Sith
Cloud(later)You are a leader
Red XIII you like to be around people:confused:

I use Cloud, Tifa, and Cid, though. And no, I didn't use Tifa because of her body.-_- Her limitbreaks were the best early in the game. And after the 2nd disk, she's at such a high level, why should I replace her with someone else? So I stick with her til the end.

I start with cloud, barret and Red until i can get vincent, i use vincent for about 1 hour instead of barret then when i get Cid i use him instead of vincent so i have cloud vincent and cid. As soon as i get yuffie i replace her with vincent.

That would by my ideal but when i completed the games i kept the same characters the whole game (then i repeated the whole game with different character setups, my fave is cid yuffie cloud)

Cloud: No choice, but I would take him anyway; very powerful physical attacks, and Omnislash.
Cid: Powerful attacks, good limit breaks.
Yuffie: Quite strong, great at morphing. Has some good limit breaks.

I used to use Vincent, but some of his limit break monsters have elemental attacks, and I got fed up especially early on in the game when I used Galian Beast against MateriaKeeper. After doing about 2000HP damage, the Galian Beast attacked with his fire-based attack, giving him about 2000HP back. After that, I rarely used Vincent again.

So it looks like I'm a wiseass trickster and a leader. Great. :D

I use Cloud, Tifa and Cid. So I have three differn't weapon variations during battle.

I use Cloud, Tifa and Red 13 untill I can get my hands on Cloud, Cid and Vincent. So im a wise ass with something I hide and i'm a leader.o_0

I use Cloud, Barret, and Vincent. That means I'm a strong leader and I hide something from everybody. Eerily, that's exactly right about me.

I have come up with something for Cait Sith; if you use him a lot you tend to sneak around people. Also for Tifa She is just is a concerned person, so you care a lot for someone and/or your friends. At first I used Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie. At the time I felt I was a leader with my little wise ass comments and I cared about what people thought about me. My idea isn't so farfetched is it?

I use Cloud, Aeris, and Red, until later when I replace Aeris (for obvious reasons if you've played that far) with Vincent. So..... I'm a loving, people person leader? Nuh uh! I'm a secretive people person leader? Nuh uh! I'm no leader, and I'm not a people person! YOU'RE WRONG! HA HA HA HA HA! Lol, j/k buddy. Good system up there I guess. Lol.

I use Cid, Vincent, and Cloud most of the time...

But, I went with Tifa and Barret until I got Vincent... then I went with Vincesnt, Cloud, and Barret... until I got Cid...

Ok, if you were to use an attacking party such as Limit Breakers and Physical Damage, go with Cloud for Omnislash(Multi-Attack), Cid for Highwing(multi-attack), and Barret for Catastrophe(mulit-attack) and they all are great with attack damage. Tifa wouldnt go in it because her Ultimate Weapon sucks when your Limit Gauge isnt close to Max.

I use Barrett, Yuffie, and Cloud because they Barret and Yuffie have long range weapons, so if something is flying you can hit
it. That and they all have a pretty decent limit break. They all have one that is a bunch of quick jabs and hits that racks up a lot
of points. I use to like Vincent but after he uses his limit break he is kind of useless because you loose control of him. It's perfect when fighting Safer Sephiroth because he fly's up and you can still hit him, but Cloud can't so I load Cloud, down with magic and summons, so you can still use him.

I dont think it reflects my personality, the only reason i go with Cloud-Cid-Yuffie is because they are THE best party when you have mastered all the stats etc in the game, why would i go with any other party other than the best.

I understand where you are coming from, but i cant stand Yuffie's All Creation, it hits once, that is why i use Barret or Cid.

That is very true, you need to work on yuffie but the effects are worth it. Limit break with 15 hits max damage each hit, great morph capability a greatly powerful weapon which is long range and refuses to hit allies. i like it =D

Yes, you are correct, i think she is a great addition to a character, but her best Limit is The Doom of the Living, unless i misunderstand you. Her weapons are great, but if you compare it to barret, he casn be just as good. Long Range Weapon and not to great at Morphing but his Limit is just great.

Yes she is similar to barret, and yea i mean doom of the living, which hits 15 times.

Difference between her and barret is that

you dont need lots of high level matera for her ultimate weapon to be powerful

you get her ultimate weapon earlier

she is better at morphing

she always protects from confuse because her ultimate weapon cant hit allies

Thats all really, her limit break is similar although it has 5 more hits that catastrophie, if you master barret you can use his ungarmax so they are similar in power

Chaos coolest damn limit there is(other then OmniSlash)in my opinion. Yes you do lose controll of Vincent, but it is worth it because he uses non-elemental attacks. Also Satan slam adds death to those that he doesn't kill which is cool.









Sef Halfman helped me come to this conclusion. Also I hate Ungarmax for the record.

Satalite Beam is much better then Ungarmax. You do more damage in my mind. Well atleast i did.

how can satellite beam be more powerful than ungarmax if you have maxed out barrets stats?

ungarmax hits like 15 times, each hit would be 9999 damage. Satellite beam only hits 1 time to each enemy

who ever said i maxed out his stats? well for my barret, it is better in my new game, i dont even have it in my best game witch i am playing it right now and i am mastering all the materia and limits...

i didnt say you maxed them out, i am comparing a maxxed out yuffie to maxed out barret. And im saying that when barret is maxed out Ungarmax is probably his most powerful, and is similar to Doom of the living in terms of power

I find it the most effective party against enemys with brute force and with magic, and the Limit Breaks are probably the best in the game.


So it makes me a Leader who is a wise-ass and likes to be around other people.

Cloud, Aeris, Red......Cloud, Yuffie, Aeris,....or Cloud, Yuffie, and Red

I use Cloud, Barret and XIII. I like using them because Im a fan of their last Limits

Cloud- No choice but Omnislash and 2xhit. I like.
Vincent- I made him my best magic user(next to Aeris but we know what happens) He does great damage wiht his final weapon. And I often liked his transformations. probably my most damging character until cloud got "upgraded" (see above)
Tifa- I find her Limit Break absolutly mind boggling in its damage. she is good with magic too but i made her mostly a healer

I always have my team on the back row, with Cloud having longrange materia, and at least one of the three long range weapon characters (Yuffie, Vincent and Barret). Then, anyone else is fine. You get less damage and give out the same as being on the front row.

no here like cait sith? damn i thought he owned my first ever team was cloud cait sith tifa when i beat it cloud only had 3.5k life pretty darn sad but my tank cait sith owned sephiroth

I never bothered checking if the opponent is long range or not. I always have a long range materia on each of my characters. Besides, even if you don't have the materia you can always use magic. The long range enemies are usually weak, with the exception of that boss at the shinra tower(the one at the elevator).

My party used to have
Cloud
Yuffie and
Vincent

the problem with this was that vincent was uncontrollable when he did his limit break.

This is the best party for attacki9ng with Limits and just great al around, i think it is the best party...Mannerboy~Sven was right, she really is better than Cid...

Heres my party. Two you must have, the third have different reasons why I like them.

Cloud equals the bomb. He can fight, he can cast magic, and he has the best limit in the game. Besides, I have no other choice.

Cid has the second best final limit in the game. If you havent tried it get it. It is almost as good as Omnislash (actually, no but its still nice).

Now here I can go one of 4 ways.

Red XIII-Look at my name, hes just plain awesome.

Barret-I like Ungarmax a lot, but come on. Hes not that great.

Yuffie-I like her for one reason, her ultimate weapon. Its the best ever. Too bad her limits suck.

Tifa-I usually have her cuz her limits are good, shes a good all around character, and I have something to look at while Im fighting. I love you Tifa.


Vincent isnt in the category cuz I hate his limit breaks. I want control. And Cait Sith, whoever uses him is not thinking straight. Lets face it, two limit breaks his toy is bigger than his body, he sucks.

Well, this is my best tim so far:

Cloud, Tifa, & Vincent

I use Cloud, Barret, and Cid.

Cloud because hes just the best!..... and I dont have a choice.
Barret because you start of with him so I decided to stay with him.
Cid because hes well ace in attitude, and has some good limits.
and some times Yuffie, but I have never gotten her final limit break.

im actually replaying the game for the 3rd time, and ive gotten surprising results from a party consisting of cloud (obviously), red XIII, and yuffie. i wish i had used barret in place of yuffie now, but he is at lvl 1 limit breaks and only is at lvl 45 while is yuffie is at lvl 57 or w/e. so id go w/ cloud, barret, and red XIII.

My ideal party would be like this.....:

~Cloud
~Vincent
~Tifa

I THINK- Cloud, Tifa, and Cid

I USE- Cloud, Tifa, Red 13

Well, my party was Cloud, Aeris, and Red XIII, then I swapped Red for Cait Sith, then I swapped Cait Sit for Cid... now Aeris has been murdered *sobs*, I've replaced her with Cait Sith...

This is my best party now, but Aeris used to kick ass! :rolleyes: I guess you can't have everything... So I'm really a loving wise-ass leader, who is quite sneaky? Yup, sounds like me...

i don't think anybody stuck on to my party -Cloud-Yuffie-Vincent-I guess i a Leader trixter who hides something from everybody.

I use Cloud, Nanaki (red xiii),and cid. That in my opinion is a great team because they all have greay physical strength plus their magic is really good.:eye: :alien:

i always used tifa, cloud, and red XIII from the beginning. well, actually, not really from the beginning cuz ya don't really get red XIII till later but ya know what i mean! i luv their limit breaks

Cloud for Omnislash, Barret for Sattelite Beam(spelling?) and Cid for Highwind. They all rock in my opinion.

To finalize my opinions..

Someone earlier said yuffie had the best weapon, but bad limit breaks, i can understand this but her level 3, second can be very very powerful.. as powerfuul as omnislash, which it is on my save file..

So i still go with cid, cloud and yuffie.. heres why i dont use the others (they are all maxxed out etc)

Vincent - Ok, mega cool limits but i loose the control which i fully need to own my opponents.

Tifa - I hate her weapon, you need near full limit for it to be at its strongest, even with max stats, with no limit bar your inflicting mediocre damage. I also think her limits r weak.. its only 7 hits

Caith sith - did someone say something?

Barreet - Similar to yuffie, no protection from weapon like yuffies which protects from confusion, this and the fact that im not so keen on hsi ulti weapon

Red - Powerful at physical but his best limit is level 3, which isnt all that powerful, just 5 hits. Or you can opt for his l;evel 2 mega hitter which is actually kinda weak.

when i had aeris she was really ace.....she had great gospel and was on ab00t lvl 53 before she died....gave her all the power sources too to get her strength up a bit but still....she was a bit weak

right now im using Cloud, Vincent and Tifa....simply to get Vincent and Tifas limits up to lvl 4

although im taking a shine to barret a bit more these days.....i like his catastrophe limit too

Cloud, Cid and Yuffie. Cloud because you have to have him, of course and who wouldn't want Omnislash. Cid because he's cool, ultimate weapon doesn't have any particularly restrictive powerup and he has a decent limit break. Finally, I use Yuffie. Great character, sweet limit break (3/2 Doom of the Living, not 4/1 All Creation, which sucks) and properly powered up will always morph at 9999 damage. (Especially useful with a Mega All materia.)

My party is Cloud, Tifa and Aeris...well when I have to change Aeris (for the obvious reasons) I take Barret...
Well...about that i take all the charecters ofcoures untill they all reach lvl 99:D...after that I chose Cloud,Tifa and Barret.

I normally use Cloud, Yuffie and someone else 'til i get Vincent..then I use Cloud, Vince, and Yuffers...then I get Cid...and trust me, the decision is hard, but I replace her with Cid...

Atleast, that's the way I do it now. I used to just always have CLoud, Cid and Vincent, but I hope to alternate or atleast keep Yuffie in line after all the training and leveling up I did for her...:(

My fav party is Cloud-Tifa-Barret. But I often use Cloud-Yuffie-Nanaki, Both combinations work rather well for me.

personally i go with cloud cid tifa. they have limits that do the most damage and decent base stats.

I recommend the team of Cloud, Tifa and Cid.
They got the best limits in my opinion.

I use Cid for his hilarious dialogue and his wicked limits like Dynomite and High wind.

I use Tifa for her more coforting dialogue and her great limits as well. up to 7-8 hits with limit. ooooo boy.

Great team IMO. Very easy to get to level 99 and whip emerald and ruby.

Is it just me or does everyone just stick with 3 members and 1 party throughout the whole game? I know they do leveling up by themselves but I trained and used everybody. With the exception of Cait Sith. Don't like him.

My fav comb is Cloud, Aeris and Yuffie. But Aeris died. :Sad: So I took Tifa instead. Occasionally switches Yuffie with Cid or Barrett.

if i could i would keep aeris in my party throughout the game but i cant. untill i max everyones limit and weapons, i switch people out to keep their levels about the same. it also varies the battles a little so that keeps it interesting. the different scenarios with diff characters are fun too.

I tend to use all of my characters to develop thier skills and stats, while my main team consists of:

Cloud, Cid, and Vincent.

All three of the characters are powerful, like cid and his highwind ability, and vincent with chaos. I tend to switch out Vincent from time to time with Yuffie, because she is extremly helpful with morphing, and other such skills that are best fit on her.
