I do not have the International version so I had a few questions.

1) What does he look like?

2)Where is he at?

3)What do you have to do fight him?

4)If not a Dark Aeon, what is he?

penance, um its been a while since i last played the game and i cant remember much about him but i think you fight him when you defeat all of the dark aeons (a semi hard mini game)

yeah beat all dark aeons and it apears as a location on the ships fly map that you can go to i think you get a cutscene then the fight starts it looks like a big robot thing (like emerald weapon ff7) and it has two floaty things with it that cast magic that look tike robot rock things, i guess. i dont know if zanmato works on it but it has lot n lots of hp best to have maxed out stats to fight it. sorry its not a gud discription its the best i can do try lookin for pictures of on a fan site maby, there may be some fan sites of ff10 that can help more than me.

is there any plain pics or is the only way to see these dark aeons and penance through the media files(im running on 56k and takes to long to dl)

After seeing them, I became confused. If anyone has any theories or ideas to why the Dark aeons are so powerful, why they are dark, and whether or not Penance is a dark aeon.

its not part of the main story so theres no need for theorys

Yu Yevon was the leader of Zanarkand so we don't really care. But where did Penance come from, thats interesting if you ask me.

Maybe he was an utlimate weapon before 1000 years ago deep underground of Goadosalam, before Spira is existence, that someone activeted him to test their courage.

maybe hes just a porn addict who got pissed when his dealers (the dark aeons) were killed so he attacks tha ship... and the dark aeons are dark and evil cos their rebelious TEEN aeons and theyre powerful because of all the drugs that they experiment with

Somehow I think that is incorrect. The dictionary meaning for Penance is a sacrement imposed by a priest as punishment for a sin. Yuna and co have to fight the Dark Aeons (sent by Yu Yevon follows) and finally Penance to pay for their sin(betraying Yu Yevon). Upon doing this they achieve absolution. Since this a game based highly on religion, this could be true.

why don't you just watch FIFAL FANTASY X-2 PROLOGUE and all the story that remains unclear at final fantasy will be say. there is a two type of prologue.so make sure you get the right one

Penance is not related to the story of FFX or FFX-2.

well i think what lad belgemine say is wrong. not prologue, but FINAL FANTASY-X: ETERNAL CALM. but i don't no that this video has been sold at america, in japan they allready sold it in 2003 at (yen) 23.00

I know the meaning of prolouge, I also know that the FFX-2 Prologue: Eternal Calm was released in Britain and it shows nothing to do with Penance.
