Any of you guys play tekken 5?

I play a crapload of Tekken 5.. my hands still hurts from King Throw Chains :(

I use Baek the most, in fact, at the arcade I go to he is the most popular character in Tekken 5.

i gave up tekken after 3, idk why i just lost interest

Wow... someone actually plays as Lee... I don't feel so alone. :(

Lee is a pretty great character, even though most label him as a fag, gay, girly man, etc etc. But he has a bunch of great moves... except for the fact that his juggling game is pretty bad since all he has is a jumping knee and an uppercut. If he had a good juggle starter from a low attack like Bryan Fury, he would great to kill off most players.

I fucking love Kazuya.

Yeah.... but how many times are you going to land a uf+4 or a df+2 on a human opponent? It'll work on new players but when playing against the more experienced folk, it won't trick anyone and it ends up being very predictable.

I usually fight using Paul while playing most Tekken games.

It comes out here (U.K) in september, apparently it has Tekken 1,2 and 3 as unlockables which is good.

They're not unlockables, they're opened straight from the start.

thats why u use the agressive lee style.
1+2+f+1+2+f+1+2+f.... then when u wanna get then into the air just intercept their moves and you should do fine, o and use lees acid storm often, its a good technique.

There is also ff+4 (on counter hit) ff+4, 1,2~f etc etc.

I play Tekken 5 alot too. MY fav character is Ling Xiaoyu. I just love her moves.

i used to be avid about tekken, have lost some interest of late though

I only have 2 and 3. From the sound of you guys it's pretty good so I'll have to get it. I usually use Law, Beak, Jun, Yoshimitsu with his move pogo stick or whatever it is. So yeah that's it for me.

I didnt like the story line, but it was a good game. My favorite character is Kazuya.

But don't they all follow the same story line this is just a continuation?

nahh Asuka moves like Jun, a better character for Tekken 5 would be Jin not the Devil one cause his moves are a bit new. Brian also, cause his moves are so powerful.

Kaz is pretty much the only character I've used since 3.

i haven't played 5 yet i live in london and gonna get it soon, i have a question, can you still play as eddy\(graddaughter whom i forgotten the name of) or anyone who has a similar fighting style, i use them as they have very good links although people get annoyed at the repetitiveness.

Eddy (and Christie) is in Tekken 5. Eddy, however, is a secret costume that needs to be unlocked in game.

Has anyone played story Battle with Anna Williams?
Her first sub-boss is Lee and they have some interesting words for each other....
Apparently they only had a relationship in the motion picture anime and not truely in the game story.
They greet each other and anna cracks on to him...then after beating him her winning brag show her sitting on his back slapping his ass and saying "Squeal like the little piggy you are" i nearly pissed myself laughing during that!

tekken 5 looks pretty fun, but I've not played it yet. I really have no time for games these days I suppose...

Kazuya was in tekken one,two, four, tag and now five, never was in tekken 3 sweetie

tekken is awesome noticed how the mishimas try to kill each other and how all of the problems seem to lead back to that family ive loved the game since the first one

Tekken was one of the original fighting games based around actual martial arts styles there is no weapons (except yoshi but i dont care) no super fire balls (except the devil characters but they are immortal) sure each character has a power move but it is not comic book fighting like the shit MK and SF are.

also all the characters are interwoven each has a plausible story that fits the underlining story so i think that tekken is a pioneer of fighting sims

when has capcom ACTAULLY expanded the SF series it is all rehashed and special editions - BORING

Actually, from a stand point, Tekken kinda rehashed more of their stuff compared to Capcom and it's SF series. In fact, I still hold VF4 in high regards compared to Tekken 5. Even though I don't play much VF4 as I used to, I do think the real pioneer of 3D fighting games is the VF series. In fact, Tekken 5 uses the same vf.net system as VF4 (with customs and ring names, internet ranking and so on.)

But personally, I like any flavor of fighting game and I'm a fan to both Capcom and Namco's work, Sega with their VF series and espsecially SNK for their KOF series. I can't say which is better... I play whatever machine has a challenger on it.

vf4 I admit was a really fun game, aswell as the soul calibur games. But tekken 5 also has it's unique game features that those other games don't have, but from it's game play I say it's not rating too high. The game graphic is alright, but the movements are still sorta slow

I never did like Tekken, I tried to find out what was so good about it because most people think it's the best fighting game EVER, but I never got it, Not after Tekken I, Tekken III, Tag Tournament or Tekken IV, so I'm not even going to bother playing Tekken V, It's just not my game

Its so basic that even a seasoned player can be beaten by a beginner. But whatever the game lacked in fighting style, it more than made up for it with its beautifully mastered CGs. Those by themselfs made me want to buy the game.

my fav ending was Heihachis that demented barstard doing thats to his own father,son and grandson how sad is that
