Ach-To Island has a sort of an excerpt from Steps, When Reys starts climbing the stairs before Luke. Nothing grandious from the track but there's a familiar theme in it.

I'm in track 6 and there's a few classic theme renditions around that are awesome! The Resistance theme has been fleshed out too, Snoke's a bit too. Not much Rey so far.

Is that when "Tie Fighter Attack" kicks in? I love the way its reworked, and it really sounds like it'll fit. Just a guess, but I'm guessing it'll score the scenes in which the Falcon is being chased underneath Crait's surface (as seen in the trailers). It'd be a nice echo of the Superstructure chase in ROTJ.

I hope it's a better orchestra than performed the TFA score. They were woeful compared to the LSO.

Great soundtrack. My only complaint, is that it has a very similar sound to The Force Awakens, which is definitely going to piss people off.

I didn't mind, but wish it stood out on its own legs A LITTLE bit more.

I sincerely appreciate this effort especially since the soundtrack wasn't supposed to be released until tomorrow. However, one guy offers it in MP3 but uses MEGA, so the download is lightning fast, while another guy offers it in FLAC but uses some antiquated Mediafiresomething that takes two hours. How difficult can it be to offer FLAC on MEGA?

Thanks so much. I haven't seen the movie yet so I don't know anything beyond the first trailer (so if you have sent he movie please don't spoil it). I really liked the all of it. I felt that it deepens the themes started in Ep 7 and the new tracks were a delight. Actually my favourite new track is Canto Bight. It felt like a space version of what I would expect to hear if I ever went to Monte Carlo. I actually hope we get more Canto Bight music at some point. Hell I will be happy with any more Star Wars music.

The movie is 2 hours and a half and there was music through a big part of it, so probably around two hours of score. And we have already 1 hour and 17 minutes, but I think some tracks are shorter in the OST or are missing something.

Also, are there any concert suites in this album? There are not too many new themes but not even Rose's Theme has a track for its own. Maybe the track 07. The Rebellion is Reborn is some kind of suite for her theme and the new Resistance March (I don't know if it's that theme).
Anyway, just listened to the full album and is really great! It leaves me a better impression on the first listen than TFA did.

Maybe it's to late to say, but there are some spoilers in the score!!!

The funny thing?



Critics loved it; fans hated it. It has the lowest audience score of all Star Wars films, except for Attack of the Clones (which is also 57%). The Phantom Menace even has a higher score (59%).
Yet it has the highest critic score of all the Star Wars movies, except for The Empire Strikes Back (94%).

The fact that people think this movie is that bad is fucking hilarious, and goes to show you how triggered they are over Rey's parents reveal. I loved the movie.
