I would strongly suggest leveling up your main attackers. Try to get them around level 100-110. When I got to Firewall, I had Fayt, Nel and Cliff around lvl 200 (For each character they can level up to lvl 255. A friend of mine tried this with a Action Replay Max, and cheated his way to may lvl.). The higher lvl you are, of course means more punishment you can withstand and dish out to your opponents. Also, it increases your HP and MP like no tomorrow.

In regards to a new game plus file, no. I've finished Star Ocea 3 a few times now, and there is no game plus file (Starting a new game with all items and such.). Even with games with the game plus feature (I'm using Suikoden IV as an example... but I strongly urge people to avoid this game.), like Suikoden IV, have it that you finish the game, and then have the game plus file. What that does, is give you all your items and money from the previous game. If does not give you, the levels you built up.

the only decent new game plus game is chrono trigger it think because there is a purpose for it. letting you defeat lavos for many different endings as for ffx-2 it may take you back to lv one but your abilities and dreespheres stay and that is of importance. thanks for the help.

Actually, Champions of Norrath has a pretty sweet New Game feature - it has three difficulty levels. At first, you can only play through the beginner level. By the time you finish the game on that difficulty, you're on about level 20, have average weapons/armour, etc. You can then start a new game with all your current possessions, and your level, and the difficulty of the next is such you HAVE to be level 20. You then finish at level 40, and then the last difficulty you level up to the max of 75.

In the sequel, Champions: Return to Arms, you can also import your characters from Norrath. If you like the occaisional hack-and-slash collecting RPG, Champions is worth a look.
