No, Tool is stinking shit. An example of a better band is not hard to find. The Hanson brothers, for instance, or fucking, I don't know, Linkin Park. I'd rather listen to most things than plodding wacko crap like that.

He hasn't left, and TOOL aren't the greatest band ever, I like some of their stuff but I personally think Radiohead is better, but that is because I've liked them since I was 11, so that would mean I've liked them for 7 years now and nothing that anyone says is going to change my mind, though I do know there are some Radiohead fans on this here board.

Tool are interesting, but nothing Maynard has touched is "great." There's some good stuff from APC, but he is truly the king of whiny shit.

Wouldn't say TOOL is the greatest band ever, sure they've got some songs I think are great, but there's also some of their songs where I just think "why?".

To answer your question about a current band that's better than TOOL, how about Jethro Tull? They've been around since 1968 and still touring, and it takes some real balls to play flute rock.

I don't have a fave song of theirs, but I must say I thoroughly enjoy Maps. And Karen O is such a great actress; her performances are insane and she isn't anything like that at all, it's all a stage persona. In the maps vid she even cries. I <3 her.

I never listened to them when they came out, but I started listening to them and the distillers the other day and i just can't stop. I went out and bought fever to tell but someone stole it >=/

i agree. i never knew anyone freaked out over that though, since ive only talked to a few people about the yeah yeah yeahs in my life. maps is really great and touching, but musically, vocally and lyrically it isnt anything special.

Same here, I listen to stuff like S.E.S, Fin.K.L, Baby VOX, well, Korean girly bands, as well as rap and some rock. But TOOL sucks alot.

I like a few tool songs, but i think they are definatly over-rated!, i saw them at Ozzfest in 2001, they out on a good show, but i just find them very boring! i much prefer maynards APC stuff!
