thinking about it for a long time, i decided to write about it and get it out in the open.

aeris is a fictoinal character, she isnt a true human or anything, she is purley a long list of coded messages. but when you use aeris all the time, take in all the things she says. it makes you think about her. i love aeris to bits, i know shes not there or anything. but i feel like i know her to a extent. i play the game almost everyday even now.

sitting there, waiting for her death to come, what do you think? i really dont like to see her die on the screen, but then i suppose no one really does. it takes a lot of time to get attached to her, but in the end i did, i use her all the time in battles and i still get emotional when she dies.

It hurts me so much to think some people on this planet do not respect peoples feelings, they simply come on to have a go at people over a opinion, it seems as if aeris is like marmite, you either love her or hate her. i dont really mind that some people dont feel strongly about her, but there is no need to take the mickey out of someone and make them fell bad about what they belive in.

I hope that people will not change there minds on things just becuase other people think it is wrong, opinions are like arseholes, we all have one, and everybody thinks somebody elses stinks. whether we love her or hate her, dont try and change peoples opinions on it. i really want to see all the fighting on this to stop, life is to short to hate.

...also, my two cents on this thread - I was upset by Aeris' death, which in my books means it was a great game. It had me immersed to the point where I felt emotion. However, as soon as I withdrew myself from that immersion, I was over it - to fall in love with what is essentially a bunch of polygons based of some line sketch a creepy Japanese guy drew is just...weird.

Also the way the person called the thread 'it isn't wrong to love aeris,' which implies he loves her in the sense a man loves a woman in real life. If he liked Aeris then there wouldn't be anything wrong with it, it's like saying 'I like that plant,' but if I was to say 'I love that plant' with the thinking that it's wrong to love this plant, then that means that I would want to go out with it and further my relationship with it to the point where we have sex and possibly get married.
