I have no current record player and don't want to spend a ton.

Any recommendations for something that would be good for converting vinyl to digital formats? Get a player and a separate audio convertor? Or get a record player with a built in digital convertor?

What do think?

I have a record player which is connected to my soundcard input on the pc then I just play on record player and record on the pc using audacity then clean the tracks with click repair software :)

You could buy a second hand turntable relatively cheap and get a 3.5mm RCA to USB 2.0 audio capture converter adapter so you can patch into your desktop/laptop. (probably the cheapest way to go)

Or you may decide to buy a turntable that already has a USB port, I have been thinking about the former so I can get a high end turntable at a low price then get an RCA to USB adapter for around $10.00 USD. ;)
