Uh, ladies and gentlemen...guess what?

I dreamed of cartoon characters going on an epic journey of some sort.

And in fact, for a very long time, I have always been constantly dreaming of what is best described as "Cartoon Characters embarking on a Journey"...A VERY EPIC JOURNEY INDEED!

I have a dream that sees a bunch of cartoon characters going on an epic journey that will also be like something in the vein of stuff such as...

The Brave Little Toaster (1987)...

or The Land Before Time (1988)...

or The Lord of the Rings...

or even The Wizard of Oz (1939), among many, many, MANY other stories involving journeys and adventures.

The dreams I was constantly having of a bunch of Cartoon Characters going on an Epic Journey of a lifetime might also be as much an emotional journey --- especially one of perception or even teamwork and friendship, of all values --- as it is also a physical journey across a sweeping epic-scale if also exotic or even fantastical world, especially of sprawling vistas and sweeping epic landscapes, and especially among such cartoon characters like Dexter and Dee Dee from Dexter's Laboratory...

or even Samurai Jack himself and Ashi from Samurai Jack's Season 5, etc.

You see, I have always had these dreams in my head --- these dreams of cartoon characters like Samurai Jack and Ashi and Dexter and Dee Dee or the like embarking on an epic journey of a lifetime --- either since the time when I was a high school student or perhaps since the time when I was a little boy. And interestingly, science fiction writers had previously imagined the animated cartoon medium as something that carries the heritage or legacy, if you will, of a long-vanished humanity. For two examples:

1. In Arthur C. Clarke's 1949 story "History Lesson", an animated Disney cartoon movie is mistaken by Venusians for a historical document.

and

2. Howard Waldrop's 1985 story "Heirs of the Perisphere" imagines robot versions of three cartoon characters --- Disney's Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, respectively --- wandering a seemingly dead post-apocalyptic world that is devoid of human life.

It is my hope and it is also my wish that one day --- some 10, 20, or even 30-odd years in the foreseeable future --- the dreams that I was having of "cartoon characters going on an epic journey" will become a true reality, an actuality as well as fact, or especially in the shape and form of a massive, sprawling, epic, 6,000-page (or multi-volume and multi-part) movie screenplay or even a regular 120-page movie screenplay!

Now the question is:

Do you or don't you ever remember or even recall any stuff, especially from any of your childhood(s) in which unusual creatures of any kind or type such as dinosaurs (especially baby dinosaurs), inanimate objects (especially toys, action figures or household appliances), or even cartoon characters, embark on an epic journey of a lifetime?

That is all.

If you ever get a first date with a cute girl make sure to tell her about this at great length

Not that I, who is the OP, am talking about something that is 'retarded' here, sir.

It is just that not everyone can remember a single dream like the one that I, the OP, am talking about, a dream which can consist of a bunch of cartoons or fictional characters embarking on a journey filled with high adventure or anything such, all of which can be weird considering that one's memories can be saturated to the brim with cartoons or fictional characters in general.

If someone will ever come to think of it, in one's entire life (especially so far), not everyone have had more than a few dreams with popular fictional characters (and even the ones that I like so far).

Simple is that.

In your dream, timbox129, did your cartoon friends look like animated people or were they flesh and blood cartoons? Just asking because if it was the latter, I find that weirdly repulsive and attractive at the same time...

Actually, they might be animated cartoons like these that I've already posted here:

And in my dream, even on a bigger, longer, more complex scale and scope than Lord of the Rings, Star Wars or even James Cameron's AVATAR combined, the high adventure and soaring fantasy in this whole dream thing that I'm having (and that may be titled something like Dexter's Odyssey) may play out as if it is basically like Who Framed Roger Rabbit meets The Land Before Time and Genndy Tartakovsky's animation body of work on the big epic and complex scale and scope of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and James Cameron's AVATAR, probably according to TVTropes's X meets Y page that you can find on this URL: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/JustForFun/XMeetsY

Even with the entire cast of characters and creatures consisting of 2D animated Genndy Tartakovsky-styled toons (including the aforementioned Dexter and Dee Dee and Jack and Ashi among others) and/or 3D CGI dinosaurs and/or live human actors, with the toons taking center stage at the heart of a sprawling epic tale that will also be an emotional journey set in an epic-scale world of fantastic make-believe beyond what you and I sort of imagine, with living dinosaurs making up the wildlife and the humans accorded strong supporting roles, this so-called "Dexter's Odyssey" in my dream will, again be something like Who Framed Roger Rabbit...

meets The Land Before Time...

crossed with a purely cinematic touch of the works of Genndy Tartakovsky (who created Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack)....

especially on an even bigger, even more epic, even more complex and even more ambitious scale and scope than those of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and James Cameron's AVATAR movie combined.

And if you or I had a good ear for music, then maybe the music score of this "Dexter's Odyssey" thingy should really sound like the kind of cinematic music scores one can hear from the late James Horner (even though he was already killed in a plane crash some two years ago), whether from the beginning of James Horner's movie music scoring career or from towards the end.

https://2static.fjcdn.com/pictures/Remember+james+horner+s+music+i+know+this+is+still +very_92d06f_5795479.jpg

And by the way, I have two logos for the dream that I'm taking about:

https://scontent.fphl2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/21273545_1543490012375059_6523052178083916734_o.jp g?oh=d8597cb202ebd7b4e2989d0f70d2b402&oe=5A21CD96

So, what does these logos look like for my Dexter's Odyssey dream as far as the lettering, style, and logo design? Does it look ancient or mystical or something else entirely?

What's it about? Your dream.

What's it about? Your dream.

I don't know. But all I know so far is that at this stage, it is about the transformative odyssey undertaken by one Dexter Ulysses McPherson (Dexter's Odyssey, that is)...

...who, by gaining more and more wisdom and by eventually finding something worth fighting for, gradually changes character from an angry, short-tempered, arrogant little boy scientist in the beginning, into, by story's end, an enlightened young hero who knows passionately and positively about his dreams and his cause to preserve his community and all that is good in the entire world from the looming shadow of his rival neighbor Mandark's evil.

Traversing an epic-scale world of great wonder, danger, and beauty (especially with herds of living dinosaurs making up the wildlife in this movie I wanted to make), Dexter embarks on a perilous epic quest: instead of searching for a supernatural talisman or something like that, he must prevent an invasion of the faraway country of Shanghara (modeled on feudal/Edo-period Japan, Ancient China and/or the Korean Peninsula before the 38th parallel, with its people, the Shanghar, having characteristics of the Japanese or Chinese people(s)) by the necromancer (and Dexter's rival) Mandark Astronomenov, Dark Lord of Astronoma, and personification of absolute evil. According to some prophecy, Mandark's war to conquer and enslave the world's nations and tribes and countries - from Shanghara to the Far Eastern end of the world to Dexter and Dee Dee's suburban neighborhood home in the country of Reptaria to the Far West - can only be stopped by someone like the legendary "The Warrior-Scientist" or something.

Not only will Dexter journey with his sister Dee Dee and/or her friends Mee Mee and Lee Lee and/or Dexter's friend Douglas Mordecai, they are also helped along the route by the likes of Samurai Jack and his girlfriend Ashi among others, maybe.

Who knows if such a thing will keep evolving and evolving in my head?

Heards of dinos living next to humans in friendship - what more can you ask for? I'd go see this epic!
