The film is visually a thing of beauty. It has an excessively long and illogical chase scene at the beginning. It has flaws, but it is fun.

Too much exposition shoved into limited time and a bevy of international actors with different accents makes for confusion but
multiple viewings even out the bumps.

There seems to be more music on the discs than what is heard in the film (the work was composed before filming so they could
cherry-pick and place things here and there). I am not a fan of this composer but this is one of two occasions where I really
enjoyed the soundtrack. The TITUS CLIPPER is heard only briefly in the film but here it plays in its full- and is this evokes an
unexpected 'south seas sailing' motif (in outer space?!) that is exotic and soothing and then explodes into a choral fantasia.

I never fib.

So the charming link has been sent to the 'deserved.' Enjoy as I always do.

Like you, I'm not a huge fan of Giacchino, but this is incredible! Thanks again for sharing.

I very much enjoyed his score for JOHN CARTER (as well as the film) and some music critics have connected a relationship between
these soundtracks. I don't know what they have in common other than I REALLY LIKE THEM... where Giacchio's other work isn't
as striking to me. Ho hum. What really matters is when you find the music that resonates.

So glad you enjoy it.
