Hey guys,

I had been checking the site somewhat regularly to see when it was back up, as I've had this music the day since early access released. It's given me time to play through the main story and identify where songs play, so I have all of the new music introduced with Stormblood, and either a title for the song (gleaned from the Orchestrion entries) or a descriptor of where it is played. I left it in OGG format since it's kind of pointless to convert from one lossy format to another. All songs with loop points in their file were looped once with a fade out, while the songs that didn't have loop points only play through once.

Thank you! Can I ask how you ripped the music? I'd like to be able to rip it myself when a new patch comes out.

There's a program called ffxiv explorer that lets you dat mine the game files.

That song is called Scale and Steel from the Far Edge of Fate album. It wasn't a new song so that's why it wasn't included.

Oh shit, you are correct, I didn't even realize it. Thank you for the correction! ^^

I did so, but the only new songs to show up were one of Susano's themes and Lakshmi's theme. Which directories did you find the rest in?

You have to go back up a directory, the other music is in the ex1 (HW) and ex2 (SB) folders.

Thanks for Ripping this. I've been waiting for this since I got my hands on Stormblood.

If you want a MP3 version, just stick it in foobar2000 and convert it. It's going to lose quality though since you're converting from one lossy format to another.

Do you have stuff like this for previous versions of FF14? Including "1.0"? I don't have the time to play MMOs nowadays so I skipped out on FF14 entirely, but I'd love to have complete music from it at the very least since I heard that the OSTs don't include everything.
Also, is FF11 also incomplete in terms of music released in OSTs?

if you grab the free encoder pack for Foobar2000, you won't need the MP3s; plus, if you have iTunes installed, you can play ALAC & M4As through it too~

anyways, thank you for sharing~

There are some tracks from both games that have never been released. The rips I have are here (not ripped by me, btw): https://mega.nz/#!SNhzGC4Z!z1t64phqJzXW-YL4xm6KR7nQWLB3xIv0z1rlTsfTf3k

I don't know if anyone could rip the remaining unreleased stuff from XIV (the opening movie music, or the extended versions of The Coil Tightens that plays in the Flames of Truth cinematic, for example) without including the sound effects and any voice acting. And I'm still hoping that Squeenix releases the chiptune arrangements from the Tactics Alexander video at some point!

This is an excellent start. Is there a technical reason a couple field tracks are missing? Azim Steppes (Day), The Ruby Sea (Day) and a few others seem absent. Unless I'm mistaken! I would imagine datamining is pretty difficult, and I'd love to help out if possible.

EDIT: Oh! I hadn't realized you used official track names alongside generic ones. Pretty confusing without track numbering, but I take back the part about missing tracks! Now I just have to figure out what to rename and how. Thanks for the gamerip!
